what is fg? i have been playing on a 3060 and at 1080p ultra+ and RTX on i get about 30ish fps, but i see in the video that putting FG on increases fps a lot, but i have no idea what FG is

when stuttering, your gpu usage drops to %5 at 1:08 Limit fps to 120. You will be fine

this game is CPU limited i have similar FPS with same CPU and with RTX 4090 STRIX

hi im 1st and yes the problem that this game has is because this gpu you use is going passed the game engine limits i think 144 or 160 is max fps and it may not stutter anyways 120 to 140 will be the best experience to play this game on 4k i believe

my 4070 super runs out of vram at 1440p with path tracing by just a little bit. It causes bad stuttering, especially around the dense areas. City Center is the worst when it comes to the stuttering. It pushes to just over 12 GB which causes the game to switch stuff between the RAM and vram. It is very annoying as 0.5 GB more of vram would probably be enough to stop the stuttering. I still use path tracing most of the time, though. It looks very good and the stutters aren't always game breaking. Sometimes I just have to close out backgroud applications to help it because that is how little it is going over the vram limit. Closing out a few background apps sometimes is enough to mitigate and stop most of the stuttering issues.

You can run this game on a potato. I have an RX6800 16GB GPU + 5800X3D CPU, and on 4k Ultra I get 80-90fps. I also noticed the first time I ran this game it was capped at 60fps even with VSync off but after rebooting the game it was way over. Great game, great remake. I like the retro low-res textures mixed with the great effects and lighting. Looks amazing, and you can run it on steam deck 1200x800 at 60 fps with very little tweaking.

play on 7,8,9 on plantes with lots of vegetation and you will se it under 60fps, even under 50 in extreme situations..

If I remember correctly going past is 190fps is when stuff breaks, i know you can't move in power armor past that so i have mine capped at 185 feels pretty good in west-tek and my camp but u will still get ocassional drops when loading in new area's but certain places like foundation fps tanks around 40-80 on my 3060ti.

Choom.. yall testers are so bad about just testing one type of gameplay. driving around the city doesnt cover combat or areas with lots of lights like clubs. more variety please. Also try just parkouring around the city. this video is basically worthless unless all you do is drive around night city. cant believe all these gonks cheering this on. not trying to be an asshole, just giving constructive criticism. do more than just drive the car.

take this with a Grain of salt because he's running on a lower difficulty the high you go your FPS is gonna tank regardless of what system you have I'm running basically a similar set up to him and I can drop down in the 60 FPS at 1440p

I feel like Witcher 3 Next Gen is still not well optimized, or maybe it is just my problem.. I play using laptop with RTX 4060, Ultra RT settings, the FPS is always between 50-80-ish, sometime can go till 90++, but as i play longer, i can see some flickering and blurring when moving the character around despite the GPU consumption is normal and no sudden FPS spike/drop. I have to restart the game everytime this happens.. I played some other high end game like Horizon Zero Dawn and GTA V and they are running well.
