I hope they will make a new Witcher on times when Vesemir was young. The main selling point of the game was being a detective with swords and monsters for me so if they enhance that gameplay feature, I will get really hyped. There is medallion of cat school on the poster I assume, I hope it is not Ciri's medallion. If somehow, they add some sneaking elements to the game with being from the cat school, it would be a cherry on top but I don't think they will add it.

There are games that do that. The Witcher should not be one of them. It doesn't make sense in the lore. To be fair, it barely makes sense that there will be a new Witcher game, because the trials of the grasses have ended many years ago and Geralt is already one of the last of his kind. A new, younger witcher makes no sense. A faceless nobody witcher, even less. So the next best thing is a game with Ciri as the protagonist. I think that would be pretty cool, but it wouldn't really be a witcher game anymore.

@@serpentine_stormHow about the events take place during the height of the witcher schools, a few hundred years before the events of the books and the first game, it would remove many of the issues you said, and you could easily create a new main character, a new Witcher game taking place after 3 doesn’t make any sense, and playing as Ciri would be a bit difficult since she’s not actually a true witcher unless somehow the Elder Blood has given Ciri the abilities of a true witcher who was gone through the mutations

The Witcher 3 will never be topped and is a masterpiece of blood, swear, and tears by the dev team that created it. A wide variety of agendas have since been inserted into games of all kinds over the years which will all but guarantee the general world vibe, characters, and authenticity of what The Witcher universe actually is will in turn not translate to next saga of The Witcher series. The world itself will surely be beautiful with the advancements of technology but i strongly believe with every fiber of my being that it will never come close to exceeding The Witcher 3. I really hope I am wrong here but the writing is on the wall, and has been with the gaming industry for a number of years now. Just on a side note: We can also look at how a simple thing like The Witcher was ruined by Netflix. I admittedly only watched a couple episodes and bailed but many out there loved season 1 and then it got worse and worse according to court of of public opinion. Just do some digging on how the scripts were handled and also how the actor playing Geralt was treated. This is the same thing that will translate over to the new saga. For those seeing this in the future, hate to say it...but I told you so. 😢

If they’re going to make a multiplayer, the Witcher just called the Witcher online like a free to play, and they keep giving us new seasons and new quests and change your fighting style and magic and choose and create your own character. Not just a Witcher. but Anelda blood like ciri or an elf a dwarf or other races but want to select a race. They give you the option. What type of person you want we heard the Witcher they’re more than one schools like a sorcerer, a warrior, a berserker, archer et cetera that’s what we want to see the other races,but to have their own unique skill tree every race

If it isn't a new witcher school then my guess is it could be a witcher school near kovir,or somewhere with mountains,since the lynx is a mountain animal.plus Letho did want to rebuild his school, he could be a witcher at the school

True but it would be a problem since he doesnt have to be alive at the moment. It would be cool but if you killed him in TW2 then the story wouldnt make sense. BUT Eskel might be the guy, or some no name from Ofier, I wanted to say Zerrikania but it doesnt have any great mountines so Lynx school being somewhere cold (The medalion lies in snow and Lynxes are known for living in boreal forests of alaska). Also we know nothing about Ofier other than zebras and that the rest of the world looks like barbarians to them. So CDPR could do whatever they want and even create new type of witchers or whatever they want since its just a huge unknown continent. So my guess is either Ofier or Zerrikania but the latter doesnt have great snowy mountines or at least not on the map ( havent read books but from the internet zerrikania looks like its based on Afrika-Asia mix which wouldnt fit the snowy climate created by the teaser image)

I Know witchers were man-made, but i do think new monsters would be about due to the ending, meaning there would be more witchers needed, but i guess we'll find out. But for location wise it could be somewhere near the Blue Mountains, since thats the first snowy place that comes to mind, but zerrikania or ofieri would be great

Well if there’s gonna be a female witcher, it has to be in some alternate universe or something, since there hasn’t been any in the past(canon timeline)and no one(during the events and time period of Witcher 3) has the knowledge to create new witchers. So lore-wise it would be extremely difficult to create one, since they didn’t exist in the past and can’t exist after the events of Witcher 3, since you can’t even create new male witchers unless someone by some chance found out the knowledge, which was lost ages ago😅

@@bombyo3634 Yes, they found out how to enhance mutations, on a real witcher who has gone through the regular mutations. And if the elf turned witcher thing you're referring is from the Blood Origin, that's all bullshit and contradicts already established lore, first witchers(who were originally human like any other witcher in existence)were created after the Conjunction of Spheres, not before by some ritual, by mages, to battle the monsters who came through. And the witchers we know today were considered a failure by the mages because of their limited knowledge and usage of magic

They didn't learn anything. The game is still buggy and has a ton of performance issues. Sure, their story is very interesting, and I genuinely love it. But Cyberpunk is still a game plagued by significant performance issues, and you can't deny that. There's a high chance that their next game will end up with the same problems. Despite releasing an unfinished product, it still was a commercial success because everyone was caught up in the hype. I just want you guys to keep your expectations as low and realistic as possible. The likelihood of being disappointed again is just as high, and the only thing that matters is shareholder satisfaction, nothing else.

Also, in the first witcher game, Salamandra conducted all types of experiments on anyone and everyone the criminal organization could get their hands on. Salamandra used the stolen potions and items from Kear Morhen on test subjects. Who is to say that the criminal organization didn't achieve success and create a Witcher in the process. Also, in the Witcher 3 game there is reference to the School of the Cat having Elven roots. Just because you don't know about something, or it isn't talked about doesn't mean that possibility doesn't exist.

(which is clearly not the case) A more accurate, less misleading title would be something like "Has CD Project Red learned from their mistakes?" Why Unreal Engine 5, it didn't really prove to be a good engine for consoles, especially when it comes to reflections. You can't see the reflections in the mirror at all, it's blurry and you can't see anything. I've played RoboCop, Alan Wake 2 and a few other games on the PlayStation 5 in Unreal Engine 5 and I'm disappointed.

It could just be blind optimism but i feel that cd project red will push the engine correctly. Cyberpunk shows they can make the game look good when they really put work in. I see the game being buggy at first like most of their games but they said UE 5 has made it much easier to work on the game. So i think we will be in for a somewhat optimized treat with good visuals poor frame rate, bad ray tracing until they patch it all up.

@@bombyo3634 It looks good, but the question is how will it work?Because Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 are really beautiful graphic design,but when it comes to performance, problems arise and big ones.I just recently played the Witcher 3 Playstation 5 version and it is full of bugs, not to mention the appearance of the birds which when you zoom in photo mode look like origami birds, a disaster.

Alan Wake 2 isn't made on Unreal Engine 5, and the blurry reflections are just due to the PS5s limitations when it comes to raytracing, on PC reflections are clear. CD were huge pioneers with raytracing so I'm sure their reflections will look great on Unreal especially with how the game engine will keep being updated and optimized in the next few years

@@ZeCostas You're right about Alan Wake 2, but RoboCop was made in Unreal Engine 5 and there, the reflections of the tree in the puddle of water look the same like a low poly graphic and it doesn't have the same reflection in the mirror at all, and the things you break just disappear,while the ground from the base looks like shit and the same just disappears after a few seconds. Games more than ten years old have mirrored characters and objects, especially The Last of Us 1 from 2013. I guess they still haven't fully tested Unreal Engine 5 for consoles, but Playstation 5 and Xbox X can also provide phenomenally great graphics and physics, it just matters who the developer is. And Rockstar, Suckerpunch, Insomniac, Edios-Montreal, Kojima Production and a few more make top notch games that have very few bugs and construction that takes your breath away. Ghost of Tsushima still looks absolutely amazing to this day, not to mention the other things in the game.To remake what Legacy of Kain Blood Omen and Soule Reaver did in the best engine,those games would look just as wonderful.And so many remakes of games have been done, and there are quite a few that don't even deserve a remake, but they got it,while Dino Crisis, Legacy of Kain saga, Hogs of War and several other old games have nothing of the remakes

Listen, the odds are the player will either be a create a character, an original character, or geralt. But personally, I think it would be pretty stupid I'd geralt was the protagonist. I mean his story is finished and he has a wife by the end of the witcher 3. I would much rather experience something new.

I think the main character will be Ciri. But considering how OP she got, it will be like Superman in Gotham. Only higher vampires could be a challenge to her.

That wouldn't make sense. All witchers are men only. 2nd most people dont want to play as ciri. If they forced you to play as ciri then the game would be limited. No romance, no intimate scenes, it would destroy the game. The better option is to pick or make a character with a predetermined story. Witchers have a high libidos usually and like to procreate alot. Most men aren't going to want to play as ciri and look for a love interest as a man. So thats definitely not going to work.

@@bombyo3634they’re definitely not going to make ciri the MC but also definitely not for those reasons? Sure you have a point about the difficulty with immersion playing as Siri but love interests in general are secondary in the story and less then secondary in the gameplay. It’s more simple than that. Ciri won’t be the MC most likely because then they would have to make one singular ending “cannon” which completely ruins the weight behind playing a certain way and getting a certain ending. Plus ciri is too heavily tied into Geralt’s saga, and just about whatever ending you get wraps up Geralt’s saga.

Relax. They won't do that. I have my suspicions that the character the player plays as may be a custom character. There is always the chance they will go with a female protagonis. Which I don't entirely think would be bad thing even if it does happen. I mean they did a damn good job with all the ciri sections of tw3. If the game goes in that direction I trust they will do a good job.

You realize having a female protagonist isn't just a gimmick right. Like you can just have a female protagonist without it being a political decision. Ciri being a playable character in the previous game wasn't a political decision. It was completely in line with the source material. It seems like somehow having a female protagonist makes you feel disrespected in someway as a consumer. Which I just don't understand. I get that in the past token diversity characters have caused issues for certain projects. But you really need to ask yourself if those projects were bad because of those diverse people? or was it just bad writing and direction? You will find it is almost always the latter. Honestly I encourage you to be more open minded. Not because I think there's anything wrong with you for not wanting to play as a female protagonist or that you don't want token characters. I do agree to some extent with that. But I don't think that just having a female protagonist would ruin the game in anyway. The only way it would be bad is if they do it cheaply. Additionally I don't see how limiting the protagonist to the same kind of manly male lone wolf type character is more creative than having a character more similar to ciri. If anything I think there is an over abundance of characters like Geralt, Kratos, Snake, in video games. This fantasy action rpg genre is generally dominated by the exact same type character and I don't think sticking to that stereotype is creative. But that doesn't mean I don't like it. I DO! I love all those characters I just mentioned. The way I feel is, characters and plot points should exist in the story if they are relevant and enrich the atmosphere/gameplay/story of the game in someway. So if they decide to go with a female protagonist, I hope that it does all of those things. If it doesn't then it would be a gimmick and I would dislike it just like you would. But I doubt that they would disrespect the series like that and do something cheap like that. We shall see.

No I think what they're saying is that they developed and tested cyberpunk on pc only up until very late in the development cycle so that's why there were so many issues with console for that game, which then cost them £120million to fix. This time they'll test on all platforms continuously to make sure it doesn't happen again. I imagine it'll come to all platforms simultaneously. 👍
