Anne Rice is easily one of the greatest author's to ever put pen to paper. And she is also easily my favorite due to the fact that her stories have a beautiful balance of action, amazingly written characters, and romance (and not this crappy teen romance that seems to be everywhere these days). I can't wait for the third installment of The Wolf Gift Chronicles which has supplanted the Vampire Chronicles as my favorite book series.

Found 'The wolf Gift' in B&N last night.Nearly choked. Of all things, I could not be more happy finding something.Read most Anne has writen, even Beauty.Chronicles and the other vamp tales were great, but even through the years of reading them I wanted Anne to write werewolves.Liked them better. I stopped following her when she joined church. I grew up in church and well, couldnt go with her there.So happy to be getting into an Anne Rice werewolf tale now. Thank you! you are the magic!

Love that The Wolf Gift is being released on the Ancient Roman Fertility Festival of Lupercalia. Can't wait to look at the world with "Werewolf Eyes" via the great Anne Rice. Much better than chocolate in a heart shaped box anyday.

Hi yes werewolves are regaining popularity again. Also a fan of some of the Kelly Armstrong novels like Bitten. There is now a tv-cable series based on that. I was at the book signing in Tempe on my day off, but too shy to stick around to talk-tall woman in pink t shirt--as there were so many people who wanted to talk to you. It was my second signing the first back in the 90s. But enjoyed it very much listening to fans etc.

Anne I have to say I love your work. Interview with the vampire literally saved my life, I just want to say thank you and that I am eagerly awaiting your new book :)

This book should be read in conjunction with the book Metamorphosis from Human to Animal Form in Latin America(Nancy Diaz) since there is a long tradition in LA Literature about this subject matter which could be used to explore her approach. Also, Ellen Stekert, the folklorist, has written some of the first important essays about this subject matter.

Hi Anne, has your sisters books on her books with werewolves been any influence for you in regards to do books with werewolf's? I have read all of Alice's books & think they stand alone next most books. Your two books are different era almost with a telling of who was the first. She's switched sides, but she's back at it again! YES! More good Horror fiction from my beloved Anne Rice! FUCK YOU CHRISTIANS, YOU CAN'T HAVE HER! lol, (no offense intended if you believe in a God of what ever, I mean just those who are so damned hypocritical).

I have read the book and I like it but my problem is she is making werewolves into gentlemen. I don't mind them having a moral compass but gentle creatures they're not.
