Doing model railroading or railway modelling is something beautiful. Apart from the construction of a model railway display, the model trains and locomotives are a very important detail of any model railroad layout. Again and again Pilentum is extremely fascinated by different locomotives and train sets. It does not matter if they are steam locomotives, diesel locomotives or electric locomotives.
That's why Pilentum focuses very much on the passing trains while making videos. And, Pilentum prefers to capture them in macro photography mode. But in macro photography, choosing the right exposure, distance, or focus is not always easy. But sometimes everything is perfect and beautiful shots are taken. I’m writing from America. Here many model railroaders focus on freight operations and build beautiful scenery and operations. I’m a contrarian. I love the passenger operations- trains passing through stations, large stations that are as beautiful as airports, tunnels and overpasses and cuts through neighborhoods, as well as high speed ICE and TGV. Thanks to Pilentum and KZfaq, I have been getting a lot of exposure to the European passenger modeling genre.

Heavy on the passenger trains.... I like that. And the track seems extremely smooth... that's essential for a good running layout. - At 20:00 .. the weathering is amazing.

Une pure merveille que ce réseau ! J'ai pu voir tout un univers de trains allemands de toute beauté, ainsi que des rames marchandises américaines. Les voitures de la première moitié du 20ème siècle me fascinent, dont les CIWL et type 35-36 de la DB ! La traction par locos vapeurs reste éblouissante de majesté tant pour les rames marchandises que convois voyageurs ! Un régal avec en plus le son des bogies et essieux sur les voies ! Félicitations !

Simplesmente maravilhoso uma obra de arte para crianças, adultos e idosos. Eu me lembro quando criança, em São Paulo, na avenida Celso Garcia nas lojas Pirani sempre montava na época de natal uma vitrina específica para uma Maria fumaça, com vagões para passageiros e trilhos que formavam um círculo de 5 metros de diâmetro, isto com adornos que lembravam o nascimento de Jesus. Eu babava nessa vítreo. Parabéns aos idealizadores do vídeo.

I'm really curious about what is the average lifespam of a loco/brand in a system like this? My club usually had 5-6 small 3-4 days shows and about 3 bigger or international train-fairs up to 10 days/show; in a year (now we have non), but rarely had totally worn-out locos. Trix, Brawa, Atearn, Proto, locos could run all day, only cleaning and lubricants were required to those. Roco, Fleischmann, Jouef, Life-Like, Piko, Kato models needed more care, and sometimes new brushes, but still served many years reliably. We do had mixed experience with the Hornby, and Bachmann groups, with some simply "trash" locos, but had some excellent ones from them too; but did smashed a Liliput loco (by Bachmann) once with a hammer, when i got sick of its defects.

I know nothing about the hobby or it’s aesthetic. But, I prefer the dirtier, gnarlier pieces of equipment that look as if they been across the country a few thousand times. Thanx for the illusions.
