@@ocshaljufrian6109malaysian dont like train because we have twi national cars #proton and #perodua . In 2015, Najib proposed to build High Speed Rail but it cancelled by Tun Mahathir founder of #proton in 2018, because car is important than train😂

We Malaysians are proud seeing the Merdeka 118 tower everyday, a resemblance iconic image, where Tuanku Abdul Rahman raising his right hand to the sky on 31 August 1957 morning and shouting Merdeka (independence) 7 times to announce the arrival of a new nation to the world!

Looks like this building is doing to the Shanghai Tower what the Petronas Towers did to the Sears Tower by adding a spire and declaring, "Look at me, I'm taller than you!"

Bcos it leaves a lasting legacy for whoever commissioned the building. And it becomes a bane to the new govt should the previous one be overthrown because the new govt would have to look into the financing for the completion of the building but the credit will go to the previous administration instead. I think that was the dilemma with the Tun Razak Exchange.

Not true that Merdeka 118 is tallest in Asia. It is still second tallest in Asia and in the world. It is because Burj Khalifa is in Dubai which is also in Asia.

Ha Ha , It is actually shorter than Shanghai Tallest building in terms of actual no of floor ht. The hot rod spine extension allows it to beat the shanhai building. ShangHai building just to to retrofit a spine and it will replace Medeka 118

@@anuarmohd1709 the taller the building means more floors for offices, thus minimises our need for another building. Some countries restrict purchase of cars without parking ownership, Malaysia has yet to follow that, that's why our country has issues with traffic
