116mph down the back straight for 500bhp is SLOW! My 355bhp M135i hit 128mph and will gladly show the vbox footage

Agree, doesn't look like it was running any more than stock. I was there and hitting 120 in a Leon Cupra Estate with 337bhp with a full tank and a passenger, which a stock GR Yaris can keep up with. Honestly surprised this video was posted at all as Luke himself will know full well it wasn't performing as it should with the claimed power... all that aero was doing nothing as well judging by the way it was moving about in the corners and under braking.

Yer that’s coming, this day was all about testing and seeing where the issues lie with fuel and heat as the build was finished 2 weeks prior to this and had a few issues at Bedford the week before.

Sounds great and looks fast but even if the power was around 500 whp for the lap it seemed slow for that amount of power. Seem like 400 whp at most.

I clocked it a 116mph, lots of noise, not a lot of speed for a 'huge build'. Not impressed. I managed 117mph in a stock Corsa VXR at Thruxton in the good old days of the Power Events - yes faster track. But man, this Yaris isn't fast. It should be hitting 135mph + if the power is to be believed.

I m pretty sure Focus is at the most stage 1 so around 400bhp and if the weight is full around 1.550kg.Yaris at the other hand should be around 1100-1200kg.Yaris really looks like 300bhp car...2.9 bar 5862 even at 1.600cc with only 1100kg should rip off the asphalt

Sick car but it doesn’t seem like a 500hp . With that weight it should be moving mad . But it doesn’t seem much quicker than any usual stage 2 mqb car. Might just be the way it comes across the video .

Its a 1400Kg car and close to 1580Kg 2 up with Fuel. Thats the lowest power Setting it was on.... 500HP no need to turn it up to 800hp as used the day to shake down the car. More videos soon coming up with it in Kill mode 😉

@@gtbillystill has all the Dynomat from the audio Build plus Cage, 2 fire Extinguishers. Noz Bottle and some heavy ass seat mounts. Full take of fuel and no driver/ passengers. 1388KG Next on the List now Christian wants a Proper Track car is removing all the Dynomat that was added and putting it on a crash Diet to take the 100Kg Back out. We will continue to develop it and make it faster and faster. Showing good signs as had a 3 second 0-60 the other day and want to push it into the 2s 2.8 - 2.9 would be ideal and 1.5s 60ft on the streat is the target.

Big call mate. I’m sure the boys @ Lambspeed Racing here in Australia would give that particular car a run for its money, having clocked a 9.8 second quarter, whilst also being a rocket around a race track as well.

Were good friends with the Guys from Lambspeed in Australia and would like to match there 1/4 mile time. Although there on a drag stip with proper drag tires to run that 9.8s 1/4 Very impressive time from a 1.6 3 cylinder and crazy how such a new Car can develop so fast in the aftermarket tuning world. Love it 🖤

Yep the car looks amazing but I’m questioning the power I have a stage 4 build running well over 500bhp and the revs pull a lot harder than that and to not over take a Ford focus with that build would make alarm bells ring .

Maybe has 690whp on full Boost+Nitrus ! Is he running it around 450whp when tracking it ? Cause the turbo is rated for around 600-650 hp 😀 But the car is fkn Awsome ! I whould take it if he whould give it away 😉 OPTIMAL track day car 👌

Yes 690whp is 2.9bar plus 50shot nitrous we were testing map one at 500 as needed to see the outcome from heat source and fuel cuts before we can increase for the next stage

Honestly don't even think it's 500whp.. There are other Yaris GRs with 600hp (500whp?) that move significantly quicker than this. I keep seeing this car but I don't see any proof of anything :| But can't understand why? Why would this guy have so clout-chasing BS on his insta but no solid proof of figures or draggy anything? Stinky fishy bs. 800hp would be a world record, and Garage Whifbitz would be sniffing at this guys door. My MR2 is 300hp/1100kg no turbo torque and absurdly long gear ratios and i'm pretty sure it accelerates at a similar rate if not slightly quicker than this is, even 300whp would be a stretch. [Edit] in fact yeah if you look at any of my MR2 videos going up a straight/slight bend at full throttle I'm going up numbers quicker than this Yaris, and my car is by no means fast at all. Someone straighten this out cos nah

It's 692 WHP capable. Then it's brought down to 450 for track use. This car is heavier than a street Yaris GR with all the added parts, even with the weight reduction.

Would like to see a dyno readout for that car just to check the power as it doesn’t go like it’s got 697 bhp. Seen a few with between 450 and 500 bhp and really doesn’t look any faster than them. Just spotted in the video driver says it’s set at 500 bhp which is probably about right. He really wasn’t making any ground on that Focus RS either with 500bhp!

100% Even with 500bhp this should be hitting 9. With 700/800 it would be in the 8’s. Boy from up glasgow way has a 1000bhp rs3 saloon. Does an 8. So this being much lighter with 800bhp would be doing an 8.

No one is hating. Everybody can see the speed and can see the acceleration doesn't match with the claimed 500whp it supposedly runs in this video. It's a nice build regardless the power it's running so don't understand why they would claim something completely false. Maybe it's 800bhp when on other map but with this one it clearly isn't 500whp. Don't have to be a professor to see that.
