@@dudeross9120 It is still considered a nuzlocke, as once a character dies they are permanently removed. You are referring to hardcore nuzlockes where the player cannot use healing items in battle among other rules.

Just as a little bit of info, I believe that if you're playing on dolphin, (which you are, right?) you can connect a switch pro controller to you computer and use it in dolphin as an emulated gamecube controller. Hope this helps.

Game Theory actually made a video on Smash Bros several years ago. According to them, the entire Smash series follows a kid playing with plushes (in 64) that basically grow up with him (statues in Melee), until he gets old enough (in Brawl) that he's expected to stop playing with toys. The final boss in Brawl's story mode is called Tabuu (come on, thats just taboo spelled differently.) Taboo of a teenager still playing with toys. Come Smash 4, the final boss is a dark shadowy figure who gets beaten down until you destroy its core; that's this kid's childhood. I dont remember how Ultimate fits in that paradigm, but yeah you've got the right idea, but it applies to a WAY bigger scale

I tried a Nuzlocke of this game once. I ended up losing some characters (like Lucas) at points before they'd join other characters who'd still be alive. So I had to pretend to progress so the run wouldn't end as soon as one group of characters wiped because, realistically, there'd still be other characters in the fight.

I support your decision with poke.on trainer because the whole point of a nuzlocke is to be realistic. Zelda and shiek are the same people, so if zelda dies then shiek does too. Same with samus and zss. But each of the Pokemon are different. Squirtle doesn't like evolve into Ivysaur or some shit.

Technically the Pokémon trainer is in the same boat as Zelda since there is a button that is SPECIFICALLY FOR swapping characters, so, they count as 1 life!

Can’t help but feel like a guy who’s clearly cracked at smash (but playing on normal & acting like everything is gonna kill him when he’s at like 30-50%) is faking it Also has clearly played subspace emissary but is popping off every cutscene lol Makes for a very weird watch
