We need to get to 2030 without a war with China. China can fight India in 2025 because it's 5x its size. But in 2030 it will be 3x its size. That would be a lot harder for China. Let's not be deluded. Chinese think tanks have advised China to start the war soon, otherwise the rise of India is inevitable.

There is an error in the source or calculation of this data. It is impossible for India to reach 50% of China's by 2035. Make a simple calculation. In 2023, India's GDP was $3.73 trillion, while China's GDP was $17.7 trillion. Assuming an average growth rate of 8% in India and 4% in China over the next decade. In 2035, India's GDP is 9.39 trillion US dollars, while China's GDP is 28.34 trillion US dollars. India's GDP is one-third of China's, not half of what is shown in the video. If India's GDP can reach half of China's by 2035, the average annual growth rate of India's GDP needs to reach 12% in the next decade, while China's growth rate cannot exceed 4%.

Of course lack of workers China can solve by automation and robots but then cost goes up and Vietnam,South east Asia and India will capture the companies moving out of China with cheap labor.

Your calculations are based on both populations staying the same. When variables change in an equation, so does the final answer. China has already started ageing and their population is going to shrink to below replacement levels soon, if it’s not already.

@@TJSaw Did you know that factories in China are being upgraded? Upgrading to smart automation. India has lost the opportunity for industrialization. The dividend of population is only consumption. However, the consumption capacity is too low and the quantity cannot achieve the purpose of boosting the economy. At present, China's industrial transfer is mainly to the ten ASEAN countries, and India is not yet the destination. The main reason is that India's policies are not stable and its infrastructure is too poor.

India currently does not have a good enough industry. It would at the very least, need as much time as china needed in the 90s (if not longer) to build a stable enough foundation for rapid growth. However, this being said, it is quite possible that in the next hundred years, India may become a world power on par with the US (if not surpassing it).

I don't think India can overtake USA before 2070 for the nominal Gdp. They have a lot of infrastructural problems to resolve, also some social problems, but definitely they have the capacity to be the most powerful country in the beginning of the next century, given the collapse of Chinese population. But I wonder also where is turkey? They have the potential according to the projections to be in the top 10 by 2050.

我说几句 首先呢 这个评论不是针对政治而发表 是针对经济或者针对政治对经济的影响但完全没有针对政治展开话题 第二 中国的经济一定会减慢因此发展不会那么迅猛 虽然不至于出现负增长但一定会陷入中等收入陷阱放缓经济增长速度 首先最主要的原因是地缘政治 第二就是经济转型失败 第三就是政治因素 因为中国大陆是社会主义共产国家 因此人民对于自身的财产分配是受到政府影响 不像西方国家是民主自由开放人民对自身财产的管控权因此社会主义国家人民的经济状况是会稍微受到政府阻碍的 而且呢社会主义国家透明度不高 也导致政府贪污严重 既然连政府都管理不好自己 那么政府拿什么去管理人民的财富呢 所以其实在经济上我觉得中国可以更加开放 那就可能可以取得不错的成就 第四就是近年爆发的房地产泡沫 这个就跟贪污都点儿关系所以我就懒得说 第五就是 也是很多人说的 中美贸易战 然后还有很多其他问题 譬如消费欲底下 大量大学本科毕业年轻人失业/无业 总之有种走上日本经济泡沫时候的道路 所以现在中国的经济发展突破只能靠经济转型还有先收拾并减少房地产泡沫对经济带来的影响 （并没有批评中国大陆政府不好或者施政有问题 本人也是爱国的 本人只是实话实说 键盘侠请下退） 第三就是印度的经济发展也不可能那么迅猛 有部分原因跟中国一样 譬如贪污问题 还有政府透明度不够高 但其实印度政府不是社会主义国家 没有办法像中国尽量缩短贫富差距 因此印度的贫富差距是很大的 全亚洲最有钱的两个人都是来自印度 但这并不是证明印度很有钱 相反会让人质疑印度的GDP总量才差不多4万亿 但怎么会超过中国和日本呢 而且印度的人均也并不是很高 因此更能印证我的论点就是印度的贫富差距很大 这就是印度主要的经济问题之一 而且印度也会在未来面临着其他经济问题和发展瓶颈期 譬如经济转型 人口增长 各地种族文化不相容 种性阶级 男女平等 等问题也是印度经济发展路上的绊脚石
