In today's video, Kirby is delighted to start his new London Update Series, by catching up with his old friends, Edward and Eddie Sahakian, of Davidoff of London. Join them as Kirby finds out how they have fared throughout the Coronavirus pandemic, as well as how they are flourishing, coming out of the other side of lockdowns.
Watch as Eddie and Edward take Kirby on a virtual tour of some of their most prized possessions from their secret vault. These include priceless humidors containing some of the rarest cigars in the world.
Make sure to check in with the 2nd part of this update with Davidoff, for a very special cigar tasting with the Sahakians, where Kirby gets to smoke the 'cigar of the century'!

Davidoff is my favourite shop of all. I've lived in London my entire life and buy my husband cigars for special occasions and I always return to Davidoff. I was apprehensive the first time I entered as I am a woman, not very wealthy, and completely inexperienced in buying cigars. I was made to feel so welcome, the incredible staff really listened to me and I left feeling AMAZING and with exactly the right product for my needs. I love the ritual of my 2 or 3 visits a year and especially cannot imagine a Christmas without calling in to Davidoff!

Davidoff of London is, without question, one of the greatest cigar shops in the world right now. The Sahakians - and their entire staff - are exceptionally knowledgable and commensurate gentlemen. I am not surprised at all to read about your experience. It, too, is one of the reasons I have enjoyed patronizing them over the years also!

Reflecting on this video, I think your channel's greatest value has grown from teaching folks like me how to care for and select quality shoes and garments to really providing your audience with access to the best the world has to offer in terms of menswear, cigars etc. and above all the wonderful people who run the businesses that allow us to eventually enjoy these.

Davidoff of London actually recently launched a totally new online website to facilitate ordering online. All due to COVID. No substitute for visiting in person, though.

What a delight! Just what was needed on a very, very dismal day here in London. Must hurry to Davidoff's before Thursday. A new, one month lockdown has been announced for England. All non-essential shops must close from Thursday, restaurants, bars and pubs as well. More than ever we need these videos to keep our sanity, Kirby! I hope you have many more to come. Your livestreams kept us sane during the previous lockdown, hope these ones will do the same until December. Keep up the good work, Kirby!

I could think of nothing better than a fine summers day in London, listening to Edward Sahakian's anecdotes, perhaps with a good coffee, or Single Malt. He just draws you in, with his storytelling & warmth. Absolutely a class act. I notice he's a horology man aswell. I've seen him with some beautiful pieces on his wrist.

Kirby, you have done it again. Like many others, my favorite videos are the ones you do in collaboration with the esteemed Sahakians. I am sure this edition will be amongst the most viewed and highest rated of your collection. There's only one thing that has left me slightly perplexed. How were you able to film this episode without enjoying a fine cigar? Like you always say, a fine cigar with fine company is time well spent. I would assume the difficulties that would arise in editing such a wonderful video had you indulged in a fine cigar might have prevented what many of us naturally expected. As I understand from one of your replies in the comments, there will be a second part to this series, so I thank you in advance for sharing such a wonderful experience with us.

I could literally listen to the Sahakians for hours!! Hanging on their every word! Amazing collection! I bought a cigar box from a gentleman in America who had quite cleverly converted the inside of it to include a saddle insert on which I could rest a fountain pen in each slot. I can imagine this would not the be format you wish to open the lid and find fountain pens instead of a full box of cigars, Kirby 🤣

Having recently found Kirbys channel and thoroughly enjoying it, I had to leave a note on this one. Being from the not so leafy suburbs of Hertfordshire I don’t get to the ‘big smoke’ as often as I would like. However I found myself wandering the streets in the St James area in between ‘lockdowns’ etc last summer, enjoying looking at the various gorgeous goods on sale in the area. I remember walking past your shop and commenting to the lady I was with on how immaculately and well dressed I thought the man was sitting out front in the sun enjoying a cigar. Having also enjoyed watching the conversations you have had on the channel recently, I guess that chap must have been Eddie. Needless to say next time I’m in the area I will now be treating myself to a cigar or two! (And one day a silk dressing gown from New and Lingwood up the road!). Stay classy gentlemen, thank you for sharing 👌👀

Been to London once while in the US army and they have the best smelling shop in all of London. It was my first ever cigar shop when I went there but even my Sgt who was a “cigaraholic” said he’s never smelled anything so good.

My great grandfather was always partial to a cigar and buying him a box for his birthday every year is something I very much miss (along with secretly smoking one with him after he opened the box... but don't tell my mum that 😂)
