Not really. You can build the drone for less but you still need some sort of 5.8ghz receiver (goggles, screen, etc). Decent goggles are $70+

If you didnt know, the general term of the goggles is called a VR BOX, it shares the same design, just a different branding on the front... very inexpensive to get into VR with your phone

It's awesome how much technology has progressed. :) Onboard computers, gyroscopes, battery, radio receiver and transmitter, video camera, motors - all in something that fits in your hand, for $100. Hell yeah!

Need some advice, what headphones should I get for gaming? Can be open or closed back Would like them to be usable on Xbox as well as pc but not at the cost of quality Also what better stereo or virtual surround for gaming as I know many games have a headphone setting that makes stereo have positional audio(if virtual sound is better is there anyway to get it on Xbox as well? Maybe with a external sound card)

Linus, please get the inductrix FPV. It (and it's countless knockoffs/hobby grade upgrades called "tiny whoops") is legitimately the ONLY micro drone worth getting. It transmits video over analog radio signals instead of going through wi-fi, which cuts down on latency to near-zero at the expense of a bit of video quality.

We need too benchmark these, video streaming time, flight time, flight time in vr mode, flight time in radio control mode, flight time with other factors, out door flying time, how its against the wind, if it heats up, can you make it RGB , if it heats up, then what water cooler shoud you apply...etc

I remember in like 2015 when drones really started to "take off" (hehe) to the consumer market, and my friend bought one, and we were messing around with it in his basement, and we were trying to slide under it as it did a flip, and it got caught in my hair. That was fun.

try the cx-10wd it comes with a remote that can store and protect the drone and it can extend outwards, it also has a cheaper bundle where you just get the drone and control it with your phone

That's just a VR Box, rebranded. You can get something much nicer. I usually recommend Snail VR or BoboVR Z4 Mini.

I can't speak for Canada, but in the USA a court struck down the drone registration portion of the FAA's rules (for recreational use), so it's buy and fly whatever you want (under 400ft (125m), away from airports (unless you've contacted the tower, some small airports will let you fly on site when they don't have planes arriving), or where otherwise prohibited by local law or private owner policy.) #TMYK

That looks like good fun. A pity about the artifacting on the video streamed video, but I guess you got to expect that on something so small. Anyway looks like great value and easy to fly
