+Johnny Deville There are a few cars there with that BMW, like a Topolino Giardiniera and a Mustang that are worth something as classics. Also, Herbie Beetle replica, Harry Potter's Ford Anglia and the black Impala with flames are reasonably decent cars, especially when compared with the ridiculous plastic replicas, that ugly Pinto and the red car with glossy flakes on the dashboard. Also a few classic cars that could be saved and restored back to glory like that E-type and DS in the beginning of the video.

I have to agree about the F1 replica, and I can speak from experience. When I opened my very first car museum to the public, I made sure to source out a real mint condition million dollar hand built ultracar OF WHICH ONLY 106 WERE MADE so that I could completely waste an exemplary and priceless icon for orgasm-inducing form and function by parking it in the same spot, forever. Some days I maintain eye contact with it as I start my own vehicle just to make sure that I've sufficiently crushed its spirit to the point that it will give up hope of ever being given the freedom to taste the open road again.

Good god, how can you be so dumb and still use the internet? The car I was referring to is not an actual F1 car, it's not even an open wheeled car and it sure as shit is not a Renault, or I probably would have called it that instead of a McLaren. The name comes from the fact that it was the first street legal production car built by McLaren, the hugely successful F1 team. It's obvious that you don't know that much about cars and jump at the chance to feel superior and call me a yank just because I have Dodge in my title. I will stick to my "yank tank" because I work for a living and it is an absolute BEAST and IMO the only full size truck worth owning, although generally I still prefer imports when it comes to cars and smaller trucks.

Also, this must be way over your head but this was what some people refer to as "dry humor". I hate having to explain a joke to somebody, but he was ragging on the museum like a typical spoiled, sheltered unappreciative millennial with a misguided sense of superiority who probably went home his mom's house so he could feel better about himself by talking shit to complete strangers on Call of Duty, not completely unlike yourself ;-). My point was that there are a few good reasons why they had a replica of that particular car (if it even was a replica, just going off what the guy in the video says). I would have been more surprised and upset to see an actual McLaren parked like that, it would be like taking an extremely rare and beautiful animal and having it killed, mounted and stuffed by a taxidermist into some amusing pose so that tourists could yawn at it and never completely understand how amazing and magnificent it really was.

The thing is, a museum exists to preserve and to some degree display original historical items. If you fill a building with a bunch of replicas it's more like a theme park. Or I'd simply call this place a collection, that seems more fitting.

Museums are also filled with crap modern art and everything else, From gardentools to hubcaps.. Not all museums are historical.. Replica`s can be very rare and special, custom projects in other genres can be too, and be worth preserving. A museum is is an institution that cares for or conserves a collection of artifacts and other objects of artistic, cultural or historical, or scientific importance and some public museums make them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.

I remember going to this place when I was really young and loving a lot of the modded cars. They had an SSC aero which, at the time, was the fastest road legal car, but man did I not realise how much the rest of the stuff sucked when I went. Also IIRC the staff aren't particularly friendly, and I definitely remember the whole place being very cold and smelling weird.

12:19 "Chop Shop" was a car customization show in the 2000's that "built" custom cars for b-list British Celebrities. One of their creations was crushed to "rid the world of it's existance" after the fact and another was the "Radio Host Audience Picked" Bacon mobile made out of a luxury car. They tarted it up as a piece of bacon.

It would seem this place had a pretty short life. Not surprising really. Established in 2012, then closed in June 2018. The Hillingdon council imposed a £130,000 business rates bill on the museum, and the 50,000ish visitors a year was far too low to keep the place afloat. Good thing too, because that place was fucking horrendous.

I live local. They have got lots more cars in there, but the whole thing has an air of tasteless naff. Dirty, worn out, badly displayed, awful lies in all directions. Its as if the person behind it all, had a slice of delusion of talent. I gather he was only ever an ornament. This was his dream as a six year old in the late eighties... and about as sophisticated. I am ashamed. We have the best museums and galleries in the WORLD in London. And as for cars... well, there are private collections you can book to visit as against being a money business. But yes, this place is sad, and smells of old rotting headliner...like that damp dumped stretch, in front of the Jag that only a fool would have driven, even in its day. Money DOESN'T get you taste. Fewer REAL things might impress. The name itself is an aggrandizement. It's an old factory in Hayes. (Shithole...)

I feel like shitty tuning shops build these stupid looking and low quality cars and then when they realize that no one is willing to pay anything near what it chost to build them, they donate it to this crap museum for a tax write off.
