@@micandcampro yessir! So by two channels that makes 2.5W per, and it definitely feeds these. If it was something like a HE6SE it may not be enough to drive them. My next goal (years away though) is to purchase a pair of CRBN electrostatics.

Schiit Hel (if using the mic) or iFI Zen Dac V2. You can also stack the DAC V2 with the Zen Can Amp to max out performance but that cost around £400 on top of the headphone.

Via the controller aux port. Theyll sound pretty great, but you can still get amazing audio from other options sub or around $200 that are more comfortable, so dont feel pressured to get these if you cant stretch the budget. Loved my GX when I owned them though, not many flaws with them

@@micandcampro They are in the same family as the LCD-X and MX-4. I like my LCD-GX better than I did my old LCD-X. I would say they're the best casual gaming headset ever made. When it comes to competitive gaming not so much.

Some one compared that Maxwell soundstage is "much" worst than GX? Nah, i had both and differences between them are stupidly small. If you want soundstaged planars then ANY hifimans will do better jobs than many LCD-series.

Nah, I was able to try these at CanJam. They have weird wireless connectivity quirks when using bluetooth or usb, and also they sound significantly less detailed and dynamic than other Audeze high end headphones like the LCD GX, LCD X, LCD XC, and LDC 2. Not to say the Maxwell sounds awful, but Im not going to say it sounds worth its money either, and thats compounded by the fact youre paying a premium for wireless with potential issues (the Penrose apparently also had many issues they never fixed). Youre better off going wired with an easier to drive headphone like the Sennheiser 560s or even the Sundara. If you insist on something with a mic, HyperX actually makes pretty solid audio on both their wired and wireless stuff surprisingly with their stuff $100 and up. My reference is that I own many headphones from $500 to $1.2k, but good audio is still good audio and I still pick up my 560s since it does things none other headphone can do

@@PantsaBear I understand your opinion fully, but to me the sound of maxwell easily washes all sennheiser line up easily out of water for my music liking and i myself owning many LCD series as main open back and as well Hifiman pairs. I was fully satisfied with maxwell offerings now that i had used over 2 weeks for gaming and music listening. But currently i had to get rid of bigger LCD lines for weight and change of hobby but they were amazing for what they are but not worth for my convenient anymore sadly. Not to say maxwell are up there with open back LCD:s but they clearly more techical headphoens than any sennheiser midrage offering particularly your mention hd560s. HD560s sound super hollow even out of vs Maxwell and only sound stage is better on 560s cuz open back nature. ( tested with magni 3 amp ) I worked in headphones store so i was given a chance to borrow all the sennheiser lineups but nothing out of senny impressed me other than HD800s and only that was sound stage. Also distortion level, planar sound layering is something i personally appreciate a lot where many dynamic headphones lacks.

I have both and they really don't have the same sound at all. They're not the same driver. Yes the LCD GX has is technically open back so it has a fair bit wider soundstage, but it also has completely different drive that's twice the size of the one in the Maxwell. If you can afford the LCD GX then it's a fair upgrade on the Maxwell, but obviously it has the caveat that it's wired. If you want to go higher end than the LCD GX you could also checkout the Focal Clear which is really nice for gaming.
