Babylon's Fall also deserves the Nr.1 Spot for TERRIBLE Game Ethics. Wonder why the game was so bad? Because executives essentialy forced the developers to change the ENTIRE concept of the game, that has been worked on for years, in a desperate abusive crunch to cash in on LiVe sErViCe gAmEs. There were actually talented people who worked on this game for it to be good, only to have their work scrapped and get pressured into dumping out a different shitty game last minute. Basically the developers just wanted this thing done and finally move on.

Babylon’s Fall had "what happened?" vibes written all over it. I want to find out what was the budget for the game because if it's anything more than $7, then there should be some investigations in SE for money laundering.

Today I learned Babylon's Fall was a Platinum Game. NGL I thought that shit was a Square Enix title.

the fact that babylon's fall is a 2022 game. that shit must have come out like january first cause i completely forgot about it. i saw a few clips where when actually learned, the combat or at least the combos in the game could match at least nier automata levels, but the game was never good enough to care that much

All I know about Gungrave is it was a surprising revival of a series that started on the PS2. I played it briefly on Xbox Series X since it’s part of GamePass and as someone nostalgic for early 00s games I found its design somewhat charming as it certainly feels like something I would have rented back in 2003.

It’s sad that The Devil in Me released so poorly, as I played it a couple days ago and had no issues with bugs at all - it’s such a good story and I really enjoyed how quick it got into the scares this time. Just a shame :(

Babylon's Fall broke my heart. It looked like such an interesting game and I was really looking forward to it. At least I didn't even buy it but I'm still disappointed.

I played Babylons fall. I enjoyed it somewhat but the lack of people made it miserable and certain combat features only showed up after finishing the main story

I do hope the talented devs at platinum can find a way to release the original vision for Babylons fall before Executives came in and forced them to scrap it and makeshift a liveservice game under extreme crunch

Played the first level of Gungrave GORE at PAX West. When I was done with the level I told the developer that it's an interesting DMC style game, cant wait to see the beta/final game and he told me that that WAS the final game. Walked away in total confusion

2022 the year big AAA games made a return after delays, also the year of some of the biggest disasters. 2023 is looking stacked, will be interesting to see which fail to deliver and will be in end of the year videos like this.

Babylon's Fall had to have been super rushed. A lot of the armor models were borrowed from FFXIV as well

Honourable mention should go to The Callisto Protocol. The game has so much wasted potential, the gameplay is monotonous and boring, and the game ends on a cliffhanger.

Some good choices in this list, but ultimately none of them came close to Moonfall in number one

I don't know about the new game or even the old one, but I SEVERELY recommend you and anyone else reading this check out the Gungrave anime. It's the only video game adaption I've seen done well in anime and doesn't feel at all like one - it's fucking great. Also the opening goes hard

The original Saints Row had a banging soundtrack. That one song “Look at Me (I’m a Winner!)” was so amazing.

Very very sad he didn't roll with Gungrave. It works like an arcade shooter, just with dodging and third person movement. The devs have been updating the game a ton to make it better, I literally thought that thing went from a 3 to a 7 after the updates they've done. It's so jank, but if you've played the PS2 gungrave games, it's so clear how much love and soul was pumped into that thing.

Personally I'd add Overwatch 2. It can be fun, but hell is it so incredibly boring, toxic, greedy game. Sure, it's not actually pay2win, but the fact that they made a system worse than the loot boxes is such an eyesore.

I think the reason why The Devil In Me is like that is because they were working on 2 games at the same time. Remember, The Quarry was also released in 2022, meaning that they must be splitting their team into 2 and from the look of it they put more people on The Quarry than The Devil In Me. This by no means I'm trying to defend them. If anything, I'm also disappointed with this because House of Ashes is actually really really good. They should've released The Quarry in 2023 or 2024. Other than to make it easier for them to develop both games, it'd also be like a break from the more shorter experience in the Dark Picture Anthology games and it wouldn't make people (at least me) confused by thinking it's from the same series
