I've recently bent over more when doing these and it's humbling to have to drop the weight so much lol. But it's better. Although I think being bent over too much isn't good either, like basically 90 degrees, for me anyway would make the barbell move out in front of your shoes too easily. One advantage of being just slightly inclined (like Jonni was in the video) is that the barbell will be closer to your body, less strain on lower back. I also had to drop the weight because I'm trying to really squeeze my mid back, like shoulder blades together, at the top cause my mid back is so crap and weak. And I just can't do that when the weight is high.

I'm doing reverse grip instead, to activate the lats and lower/mid back a little more, do all these tips still apply the same way? Relatively new to this excercise.

Have a Question… bar the obvious (don’t do the exercise) for someone with a previos spinal cord injury and is having issues bending down, what other exercises can be done to achieve the same results, this one exercise achieves??? I.e. back growth? I find My latts/back isn’t growing to full depth. I have the width but lack depth and or that full 3d look. I avoid these exercises as is far too taxing. Cheers.

Jonni do you prefer barbell bentover rows or tbar rows

Does it matter if you do this overhand or underhand? I tend to do my rows underhand and I feel it more in my back but a little bit in my triceps as well.

So dumb question, but the cues and form is identical for the T bar row machine right?

I like to start by doing 8 sets of single reps as heavy as possible then drop the weight to where I can do normal sets (between 6 - 8 reps). After 4 sets I end with a drop set. I've noticed my strength has begun to increase as well as my size. Is this stupid? lol. I was doing just 3 or 4 sets of 6 - 8 for a year but this seems to work better for me.

Do you have a video that shows how to keep our bodies even or how to even out our bodies? Like upper and lower. I don’t want my legs to be small and my upper to be large.

Train legs more frequently, or until failure. My advice would be to ditch the squat and start the hack squat instead. You are able to push yourself much harder on the hacksquat and it isnt as taxing on other parts on the body as the squat is, brace etc. Just to like 6 sets of hacksquats followed by bulgarian split squats, leg curls and leg extensions. I always start with hamstrings because it's easier for me mentally to start with them. Hope this helps.

This is great form for hypertrophy. Bb rows are a great accessory for deadlifts but this wouldn’t be the form you’d use. I know most people that follow this channel are here for hypertrophy. But if you want to get stronger shorter range of motion and hip hinging to your natural deadlift position is the best form for strength
