I appreciate your constructive way of deconstructing looks. So many times I’ve not liked the way something looked when I try a look or see something, and I never had words for why. But you have such a way of educating and encouraging while pointing out what could be different and ways to enhance a look. 💛

Totally agree whit you i bought so manny powders and primers to let my pores disappear. And it never workt because of Robert i now now that it is impossible to let them disappear only dimish them. Now my make up looks so much better. Luckely i never bought expensive products

Maybe a series Robert could do is where he reacts to our makeup instead of celebrities. We could submit our makeup photos and get him to react to them/tell us where we did right or wrong. Just a suggestion, but I think it's a great idea!

Billie Joe Armstrong was definitely done on purpose with punk and alt being messy is the entire point in most looks. It also looks like a post show photo where most got sweated off

@@SimplyCheryl they are celebrities but they are still PEOPLE that have feelings, ffs. What is wrong with folks like you that don't understand this simple fact? You also don't think for some reason that being cruel to one group of people you are slowly getting used to being more rude and harsh than you were in general (that includes interacting to non-celebrities of course), and I don't see anything positive in that.

Love to see these bad makeup looks compared to good makeup on the same face. “Here we see the eyelashes make her eyes look droopy. But here you see with the right lash placement, it lifts her eye.” That would take more work but would learn so much from you!

With Lohan's makeup, the problem for me is that she looks kinda ... dead. I think my problem is the lips, like if she just had some colour, and not foundation lips I would've loved it, I thought the eye makeup slapped!

LiLo is a gold member of _The Concealed Lips_ club. There' s such an unbelieveable amount of people who love it. It scapes to my comprehension how and why a person who' s not a gothic would like to look like dead only on the lip area😅🤔 But even nowadays, customers show me a photo like this asking for "an everyday nude, something easy to wear with some mascara and wow". Mysteries... 🧛🏻‍♀️🖤

Not so much a make-up incident but I did once try to "tidy" up my eyebrows with wax strips and ended up ripping the outer half or my eyebrow off! A "wax-ident" if you will 😂

Omw my worst makeup story is more a phase I went through when I was about 13... I used to smudge black eyeliner on my eyes as if it was eyeshadow and then just not use maskara 👀 I'm also VERY pale with loads of freckles and very ginger hair... Its was not a good look 🤣🤣🤣 I look back at photos now and it looked like I was a zombie🤦🏻‍♀️

Your eye look is breathtaking!! I've missed these, lovely. 🖤🖤👻👻 The Lindsay Lohan look is very 80s Prince/Pat Benetar with that dark eye and dramatic blush/bronzer but slightly updated as it's well blended. I love it! I really like that you are looking at these in the context of time and fashion. 👏👏 The colors from that Ashanti look, pink and blue, were very popular for young girls in the late seventies and early eighties.

In Billie Joe Armstrong's defense, looks like that photo is after a concert maybe which is why it looks like that? Sweat streak? He usually has a smudged black liner look that isn't perfect but that's what he's going for.

I have been watching you since you started, and now I only watch 3 beauty creators, and all are smaller and operate like you. PS, Have you tried the new concealer from Dominique cosmetics? I think it would be great to also show how you would have done it/fixed it. Having previously done those looks on a model so you could do a side by side comparison explaining what you changed and improved.

The thing with Lady Gaga and Billie Joe Armstrong is, I don’t think they really care about any sort of “flaws” on their faces. I don’t believe they were going for the symmetric, or clean makeup look. That’s what’s great about them…they embrace their, and everyone else’s, imperfections. They’re more grungy and carefree. Clearly they have the money to hire the greatest makeup artists, so if they were going for prefect makeup look, they would have worn it

Billie Joe usually looks hot and messy. My guess is this photo was taken when he just came off stage and he's sweated off most of his make up. Also, re Ariana Grande, smudgy imperfect lipstick is a look I actually quite like especially with matte lipstick.

All of my makeup looks are mishaps I feel. I’ve been “attempting” to do makeup for a few years now but I’ve given up hope that I’ll ever be good at it. I have poor eyesight and am just not artistically inclined.

My worst makeup mistakes I made for YEARS were thinking I didn’t have to define my brows because they were already thin, not using concealer and just caking on foundation, and not knowing how to correct dark circles properly.

I am over 51 and for most of my aldult life, all I have worn in terms of makeup is mascara. In the last 2 years I’ve had to do so many videos and virtual events for my job and hated how the camera made me look washed out and tired, whilst being terrified by shadows, bronzers, liners etc. Thank you Robert for helping me learn about color and structure, what the camera sees and what light reveals. I'm still not "really good at makeup" but you've made me feel better about trying. 🤗
