@@conseptcomputers This certainly needs a cpu & storage upgrade to be somewhat usable for daily web browsing & general tasks (Socket 775 is going too miss sse 4.2 cpu instructions so a whole lot of games won't start on them at all.) Something like the core 2 quad q9550, q9400 or similar. Ram too 8 gb ddr3 as you only have 2 slots. The motherboard chipset likely doesn't deal with higher density ram then 4 gb probably so 8 gb is the limit really, wouldnt really bother buying it though and just grab it from another pc temporarily or from the recycling centre. Otherwise maybe look into BSEL pad modding the celeron too a higher fsb speed from 800. It's a cheap way of getting some extra performance, besides literally finding a better 775 processor in another pc someone tossed into the e-waste container at the recycling center lol. Found a core 2 quad q9550 myself recently from there, also got an E8500 that i haven't bothered messing with as the E8400 in an Asus p5q premium overclocked with 1066 mhz ddr2 too 4 ghz flat. If they aren't very strict at the recycling center about people taking stuff. They probably don't really care if you rummage through a few computers to grab individual parts from as long as you clean up after yourself tossing side panels that are now removed into metal & maybe the case as well if you gutted the pc basically with only things left being the power buttons & front io stuff. I do it pretty often here mostly due to that we swing by at work almost daily whenever there's something i find interesting down there. Just don't grab phones & most business type laptops really as many times those have built in tracking one way or another. And you should be good to go grabbing whatever that's in there. Best finds so far is a ryzen 3700x (Still untested here as of may 12 2024.) an MSI X299 SLI Plus socket 2066 motherboard with an I9 7920x which in an all core workload is faster then my Ryzen 5600. SSD's both sata & m.2 between 120 - 256 gb out of laptops & some desktop computers. A HP oem GTX 1660 TI, a Playstation 4 w 500 gb hdd. Which is in parts atm because I've just finished replacing the thermalpaste on it & I'm a bit lazy with putting it back together. + I'm not exactly on a deadline too do it heh. Just needed an os reinstall which is pretty easy to do & ofc i softmodded it with goldHEN as well.

Well, actually I still have the first computer that I ever bought, a TRS-80 Pocket Computer. 1.9 KB of ram, and a 24 character display. My second computer wasn't truly a PC as most think of PC's , but it was a Tandy Color Computer 3 affectionally called the CoCo 3. It used a cassette tape drive for storage... My first PC was an 8088. You don't know what slow is till you've had one of those. That was a scorcher back in the day; but that was really before Windows ever became a thing. That makes the 8088 my third computer, but first "PC" . Back then, you often needed to be both a geek and a programmer to own a personal computer. Fun fact: The US Army used pocket computers similar to the TRS-80 for field duty. It was actually fielded to soldiers in different fields like Artillery Survey. This was in the mid-80's. I guess that sort of dates me. My biggest screwup was not keeping an original copy of Windows 1.0; it ran off from a floppy disk. It would have been worth a fair amount of money nowadays..
