As a retro collector, the amount of "you dont get it!" is embarassing. It looks bad, end of. The textures are flat and barely lit, the fog looks like superman 64. No, no one cares if its your childhood, saying this looks bad doesnt retroactively ruin your up bringing, grow up. Also yes, obviously gameplay is important, which is why you should just play Hulk : Ultimate Destruction. A properly put together title and not a rushed movie tie in the studios B team lazily downscaled for tech they didnt care about anymore.

It wasn't even that good for it's time. "Worst looking game" might be a bit overstated, but compare it to some games released even earlier than 2008 like Halo 3, God of War 2, COD4, Final Fantasy 12, Twighlight Princess, ect. It's really just not good.

My favorite part about this game was being able to run up on a passing civilian, pick them up, and chuck them into next Tuesday. Wish we had another Hulk game with that type of freedom even if it's not entirely on brand 😂

I loved playing this on my PS2 back in the good old days. Also, if I remember correctly, the maps were mostly nighttime, save for the desert map with the military base and mechs and tanks and stuff. Also, if you didn't know, you could tear cars in two and wear them as gloves. Holy crap my memories are restored. You should play it

It has to do with making comparisons with other game OF THE SAME GENERATION. Every generation had good looking and bad looking games. There were good NES looking games as well as bad looking ones. Compared to other PS2 games that came out around the same time or even before, this Hulk game simply looked bad. In comparison to what the hardware of capable of, this game looked bad. A good looking NES game may look outdated now, but when it came out it was probably cutting edge. This Hulk game wasn’t. This is the point.

The need for really great graphics has ruined the gaming industry in the long run. Not every game needs to look amazing. This game was one of the best hulk experiences for PS2. Going around destroying buildings and terrorising people. The concept was really good.

@@maxgordon3194 Yeah, it's been almost 20yrs and it's still the best. The only thing the 08' version improved was the graphics since it's rendered on what was next gen at the time. Ultimate Destruction was on the Ps2. If you wanna see what I mean in terms of enemies, look at the difference in fighting the mech suits. They use to scare the shit outta me as a kid. The Ed Norton ones aren't nearly as impressive. Plus you can run up walls in Ultimate Destruction while in the 08' version it's just a continuous uninterrupted animation. Abomination boss battles were pretty hard tho.

@@chimpwimp9407 unless you got the ps3 or xbox 360 version oyu aren't missing much back then due to piracy concerns on pc despite the hardware being able to run the game they released the last gen versions on pc which had no bump mapping and next gen shaders. they did the same with the ironman game on pc and a few more lol. thats why most game got ps3 and xbox 360 both platforms release even a wii version but never came to pc for the same reason. and yes I recall the abomination battle QTE was hard lol clicking the mouse button repeatedly got me annoyed as a 16 year old back then lol

Graphics is a big part of enjoyment for some people, like me, I can’t stand bad graphics with low fps and low refresh rates it just strains my eyes looking at how bad it looks and I can’t play it

Bro i am still playing this game in my pc. I don't care about graphics so much. But i really enjoying just jump across the buildings, climbing, destroying, filling rage meter, using thunder clap on enemy forces. I love this game. And I will always play and enjoy this game.

Ripping cars in half to make boxing gloves, all the different shorts hulk could wear. My favorite thing to do was the code to be Bruce banner with hulk powers, hilarious

The PS3 version was not that bad visually but yes Ultimate Destruction was not as good as these nostalgiaholics seem to think. This version of the Hulk actually had a lot improvements and less annoying mechanics than Hulk Ultimate Destruction.

"Hulk : Ultimate destruction" will always be my personal favorite out of superhero movies next to "superman returns : The videogame" Will always reminisce about the times i raged because i couldnt beat the enemies or bosses ( The abomination, final boss level and then mangole and the small guy who turns giant in the first mission of superman)
