I've been installing the Hamilton Cam conversion kits instead as I like it takes it back to a flat tappet just like the old tried and true 5.9/early 6.7's

I bought a brand new ltr450 back in the 2006 when they first came out. I had full exhaust efi fuel controler and a set of cams in it. Was wicked fast pull really strong to on the bottom end.

Awesome video I’m probably gonna have to do this to my 5th gen. Can you use a 4th gen cam after this? I know Hamilton offers a tappet swap instead of the rollers. How can I tell it the ticking in my truck is the lifters without tearing down everything

Would you recommend a 2014 6.7 over a 2022 6.7? A friends shop has a 22 in with lifter failure which brought me to this video. When i worked at dodge, the hydraulic lifters were always failing on the 5.7's (needle bearing on the roller would always fail) so now learing they are putting hydraulic lifters in the cummins, makes me worried about reliability and logevity. Great video thanks!

That oil looks way thicker than 5w40. Not saying that’s the cause but that hydraulic roller lifter design is bad. Compare them to other roller lifters. Better hydraulic roller design would fix it imo.

I thought on the 19 and newer cummins the lifters could come out the top?

Any idea what you think here, this is what I got 01 dodge 2500 with 300k changed turbo out started truck and was fine until I gave it fuel then it started knocking ever since, went under to oil pan is where I heard the loudest knocking.
