As someone who lives in Michigan, it's literally one of the most weather varied states in the US. Somehow, we can go from like 20 degrees to 60 degrees Fahrenheit in a single night or day if it's the over half way done with winter and the very beginning of spring. Detriot is actually very accurately depicted. It can get crazy there.

As someone that has lived in Arizona her whole life (I’m in my late twenties), let me just say that you don’t get used to the heat. Hell, a few years ago I got heat exhaustion and tweeted about it the next day…someone replied with “it could’ve been worse. What if it happened in Arizona?” When I told them that it did indeed happen in Arizona, they asked how the hell I survived. I still don’t have an answer to that question.

As someone who lives in Alaska I have to say that I have gotten used to the temperature being between -10 and 0. But I cannot wrap my head around how people are able to live in above 100 degree weather. I sweat like crazy and have an extremely hard time sleeping in 60 degree weather. Oh and during the summers its easy to tell whose from here and whose a tourist cuz the Alaskans are always in their T-shirts and shorts while the tourists are usually wearing sweaters, jackets, hats, or even gloves.

I’m literally the opposite end of the spectrum I’m from Arizona (the Phoenix metro. That’s where the desert is. There’s also a high elevated forest in Flagstaff called the Coconino forest and there’s other forests in a forest patch called the Central highlandst. You can see the forest patch when you look at the state on Google Earth or something and it gets colder temperatures. There’s also forests around the Tucson area as well and these are caused by higher elevation) I’ve been here my whole life so I think I’ve adjusted to this. OF COURSE 120° IS STILL UNBEARABLE BUT I CAN Handle 100°

Hey Burdie, Alaskan here. Our winters are wayyyy over exaggerated. This year in south central Alaska it’s probably been the coldest, but our summers get up to low 80’s. As far as things to do, we are outdoor people for sure. There are glaciers, mountains everywhere, and it’s so beautiful. As for me, I ride an R6 on the highways, it is the best thing ever. You should actually come visit sometime in the summer, hit me up if anything, I could organize a place for you to stay or something😂

Fact time!!!!!: Arizona has forests. 27% of the land is forest. There’s forests down by Tucson (called Sky Islands) and a HUGE patch that goes through northwest AZ to southeast NM. Majority are around the Mogollon rim. The forests look like stuff you’d see in the ALPS and the temperatures get colder, going to freezing and below in the winter. If- and you probably are- wondering how this is possible, there’s a little something called ✨elevation✨ The lower it is, the hotter it is, especially here. This is how areas like Phoenix, Yuma, and Lake Havasu city are so hot. That and the deserts. Flagstaff, a city within these forests, is at a whopping 7000 FEET and the highest point is Humphrey’s Peak at a little over 12000. It IS possible that snow can cover parts of southern Arizona also due to elevation. This isn’t saying at 110 isn’t possible- *it very well is* - but it’s not all 10193772836482833837 degree desert and you can thank elevation for that. So if you wanna move and remain in a similar climate to (likely, no assumptions) yours, areas like Payson, Flagstaff, Show Low, etc are where should you move. Stay out of the metro if you wish to avoid being cooked alive. You’re welcome and have a great rest of your day :)
@Z3N1TY0

As someone who's lived in Florida his whole life (23). Pretty much everything he said was spot on. Also wanted to add just how brutal the humidity can be. Good lucking running without feeling like you're gonna pass out (of course the heat doesn't help). Also your skin just feels nasty all the time, especially in the summer. So you gotta shower pretty often. Which I can't really shower too much since I have eczema. And as someone with Eczema. Florida is a pain to live in. Sweat, humidity, bugs, and heat is just a recipe for eczema flare ups. My input, I wouldn't recommend moving to Florida. However if you want to do mini vacations here for the beaches and such in summer. Then I recommend that.

As someone raised in Miami, now living in Georgia, I need to add that the warm weather that everyone loves will drive you insane after the first year. It is hot, very humid, and bug infested from March to November pretty much. It may just be 95° in July, but that humidity will it make it feel like you are being boiled alive, even during the night, where it will still be 83° out. Also, I'm calling it out. @@sambenham1945I guess, you may also have slightly cooler temperatures in, say, Jacksonville, then Miami, but Florida is still too samey for me in terms of weather and topography. Georgia OTOH has mountains, hills, is very forested and is still a somewhat sane drive to the beach for a weekend getaway. While we still get the humid hot weather like Florida, it doesn't last for as long and we get weather below 55° pretty consistently during the winter months.

As some who was born and raised in Nebraska, its either a State you really like or hate the style of life. Like it can be kinda boring, but its very cheap and easy to raise a family in this State, and the people here are really nice, like I could barely take any mean comments when I was younger because I was so used to people being nice. Weather wise it can get very cold, one time it got down to -16F (-27C) in Winter, but during the Summer it feels like I'm constantly on a metal slide, like I'm literally just sitting down and I sweat so much, like it can get to 105F (40C) also tornado's only really spawn in the lowest part of the state that is right next to Kansas, even in a place like Lincoln it doesn't happen alot. Malls are popular all over the state for some reason, especially in Lincoln, but in Omaha the zoo is actually world famous somehow, and its called "The Henry Doorly Zoo" if you're curious about it, I've been there a good amount of times, and its pretty fun. There is alot more I could include but I know most of y'all are not going to read it, and if you actually did read of this, you're pretty cool.

As someone who lives in Oklahoma, we don’t really get tornados. But if we do school gets out early. For the people that walks or has parents picking them up, the teach would just have us under the table and watching the smart board. The school “enforces” it but we don’t actually do it. When the tornado is really close to our school then we do it. Other than that we don’t do it the whole time there’s a tornado going on.

Wyomingite here, basically nothing happens here. Most of us in gen z just use the internet. Like it’s so bad that I’m in the largest city and whenever I ask people what they are going to do it’s just “be at home chilling” or “go to a house party” or “leave the state” ZERO INBETWEEN. Though I hear it makes all the parties fun because hosts feel like they gotta compensate so that’s at least cool. But I don’t go to house parties so it’s wraps for me.

Im super surprised and also pleased that AL, isn’t on this list, a lot of people now seem to think the whole “cousin” thing is true, or think its all farmland, and flat, when it’s quite the opposite, Huntsville (my hometown) while having agricultural roots back when it first began has grown to be a pretty large small city if that makes sense, and has lots of cool things to offer if you like space exploration, nature (monte sano state park) music, or craft beers and a lot more. It also has one of the highest ratios for doctorates degrees, especially since their is a lot of missile and rocket development here, kinda pointless to post this comment but it’s something i think people should really check out if they wanna see what AL has to offer.
