As a quiet kid, there is another perk that is quite useful. When your classmates talk shit about eachother, they don't really mind you joining in the conversation since they know that you won't tell anyone about all the gossip. With that perk, you can learn literally everything; who likes/hates who, what people think about eachother in reality, and listening to normal conversations with two people that you know they don't like to stay with.

I was the stereotypical quiet kid in high school and in college, I’m the quietest one in my friend group. There were times where people asked if there was something wrong with me because they’ll be running their mouth and I’ll just be staring at them, and I’ll have to explain that I don’t talk much. Whenever I don’t say anything, that’s because there’s nothing to be said, not because there’s something wrong with me.

As a quiet kid, the thing that always bugged me is when people ask "why don't you never talk?" Or "why are you so quiet?" Not only do I have poor social skills but I also just don't like being around people. Another thing that bugged me is when teachers force you to choose a partner for some assignments and this happened offen in my school and i absolutely HATED it. Im usually chill with everyone I meet but damn it's just awkward when it happens. Shucks, there was this one kid in my high school that hated me simply because I was quiet. Like dude i know im not much of a social butterfly, but there's no need to be a dick about it.

I was a quiet kid at high school. I got made fun of quite a bit behind my back by many people, sometimes in earshot. Most of the time it was the "cool kids" and the troublemakers. One time in school when I tried to stand up for myself, the game of telephone began. Starting from "this guy is pissed." to "he has a weapon, he said we were going to pay." I was so chill that the teachers and the COPS were on my side of the argument. One of the kids was later found with drugs after a search. (He was a sophomore, I was a senior.)

As a quiet kid myself, I can promise you that no chicks care if you are "cool and mysterious." That's something chicks are only into in anime and stuff. Even if they are into you, they usually wont say nothing. Have some courage, be respectful, make the first move, there is literally nothing to lose. You got this bro.

@EZD65 ай бұрын
Bruh I see this all the time where people wanna be quiet because they’re “mysterious”. I’ve been quiet for 3 years and no girl has actually approached me ONCE. I doubt that kind of thing actually even exists lmao, and even if it does, it’s probably not gonna be a good relationship
@crimsontheworld7725 ай бұрын
@EZD6 It does exist. It definitely does. But it won't be to the degree in anime where the quiet or rude ones are the most liked by girls. If the relationship does happen, either the girl will humble the guy and change his ways, or the guy will stay the same and sadly being quiet is looked down upon since you need some sort of social skills to get a living.

@@taykashi focus on trying to just talk to girls you like or even ones that you dont like. At the end of the day there are plenty of cool girls who make great friends so if things don't work out you can make a friend out of it. In like 1st to 6th grade I would constantly not shut up about my favorite things like, Mario, video games, movies I loved, or what not. So it made sense that I had no friends, got bullied constantly, and beat up. But then going through high school I just told myself " You don't need any friends, you don't need to blabber on about everything in your life, just go to school and shut the hell up." And what do ya know high school went pretty well for me. Sure I didn't have friends but at least I ain't start no bullshit drama with anyone. Because this video is listing the pros, I’m gonna come in and list some cons just to balance it out. -people will either, A: try to make you loud, or B: try to embarrass you. I kid you not there is a group of those “popular boba girl” stereotypes in my class that pretend that I’m in a relationship with one of them. Not in a million years. I guess the looks could be a B, but that doesn’t make up for the lack of being a good person. I literally said “No” and they didn’t give a cent and a half about my opinion they just ignored that and suddenly I’m engaged??? Anyways, being quiet is just a small indication that you wanna be left alone, and because the *ssholes of this world know this, they will try and do the exact opposite. One way to counter most scenarios is to act as civil as possible. They’ll understand that you aren’t worth their time and leave. What they want is your rage, so don’t give them that. -it’s really hard to make friends and keep them. To be a good friend, you gotta contribute to the connection. Play with them, hangout with them, stuff like that. But doing so is really hard while trying to keep a low profile. In order to get your friend’s attention (so you can play with them), you gotta speak. But people can and will notice that you can speak, which is not what you want to happen as a quiet kid because of the whole “low profile” thing. I can be pulled off, it just requires some hard effort. -ok this one isn’t really a con, but I’m gonna list it here anyways. Sub category-ing yourself. Are you the quiet gamer who only ever talks about their favourite game(s)? Or are you more into drawing and somehow have the talent to win on America’s got talent without even needing a sad backstory? There are many different sub categories to pick from as a quiet kid, as many activities can be done alone without much talking required. Personally, I’m either the “quiet nerd gamer trio” or just the nerdy gamer, but you can be who you want to. Well, that wraps it up!

I'd probably be a pretty good spy or secret agent because literally no one knows I'm there. I could be somewhere and be asked when I arrived because no one saw me come in, and I'm just like "I've been here for the past 4 hours".

@Drain.X10 ай бұрын
i was the quiet kid but not really by choice i developed a social anxiety-based communication disorder when i was really young because people kinda hated me and whenever i talked i'd repeatedly be shut down or bullied, and i'd get accused of doing things wrong by teachers who were really stupid (still had some great teachers tho!) Example: in kindergarten it was clean up time and i told one of the new kids that we had to clean up since we were gonna have snacks or a lesson or smth and when he didn't listen I started putting away the toys he wasn't touching (to his side and behind him) pretty exaggeratedly thinking he didn't understand me or smth so i'd show him what i was talking about. He ended up grabbing the toys from me and muttered something about 'revenge', and at that point i decided i was gonna dip out, like okay if u wanna get in trouble then fine by me (i obviously didn't say that out loud), during the next playtime the next day, i was keeping my head to the ground, playing with some of the hot wheels and keeping the side of my head to the ground as i rolled it back an forth as a kid does. The kid who got mad at me brought a large toy car (like maybe the size of 3 oreo family packs stacked on top of each other) from home that day and i kid you not he full-on chucked-rolled it at my face and gave me a bloody nose. After, i went and made a pillow fort with couch cushions (idk why we had them, but they were just kinda there in the play area) and cried to myself as i covered my nose in pain, trying not to let it drip all over the place. That wasn't the part that got me, because that kind of stuff happened even more than the kind i'm about to tell you. After a bit, the teacher removes the ceiling to my fort and she looks really mad, then kinda brings me over to the place where the teachers usually stay as they watch the kids (obviously not well if they missed him assaulting me with a toy jeep) and the other teacher is just standing there with his arms crossed, watching me approach. Then for the next couple of minutes, i stood there crying as they yelled at me about how wrong it was for me to take the toys the boy was playing with and that I should be 'using my words', and only after the scolding did they give me a napkin to clean up my nose. While they were yelling i tried explaining what actually happened but they kept invalidating me, probably having heard the boy's story first and believing him for no reason i can think of other than the slum-ish suburb i lived in up until the 4th grade hated indians for some reason, but i'm not gonna get into why they did because it's kinda political and it seems like that area's a lot better now, but basically we were viewed as bottom feeders (even though my family lived in the nice duplex side of town instead of the apartment side). But yeah when i explained the situation to my mom when she picked me up she was livid. but anyway i even though it's not really easy for me to talk with others and attend social events, i love being able to connect with others! though i will agree these advantages to being silent are very nice/useful lol whoever reads this, thanks a lot! Well I hate after school activities cause they after school but I can work with it, I’d at least consider it… it would be a lot much easier though if it were just assigned based on staff’s popular vote As for rizz… I got game, i flip my personality like a switch, quiet one moment and talking my friend’s ear off the next

As a quiet kid, what i like to do to my teachers is, i make them respect me to the point where they say on the report card "he is so awesome to have in class" after that, i know i can get away with ANYTHING with that teacher because they trust me, and also when people talk shit about me, for some reason they think im deaf or something and i just chime in like "bro i can hear you"

Disadvantages of being the quiet kid, People take advantage of you. If people dont see you have beef or fight anyone else, they would generally assume you to be calm and they could tease you. They also always ask for things because they dont think you will say no. At least according to my experiences.

Being quiet doesn't mean being submissive. Had people ask me for things i didn't agree for, gave them a solid ''no''. Gotta stand your needs, it's your life after all. But it's understandable why they'd think the opposite, we chill af.

For the mysterious perk, you gotta be careful. Some people can get a little too curious and will do anything to get someting out of you, even if it means becoming a menace. And if you're really unlucky, they can use it against you and expect some sort of rivalry. Happened to me once, and yes, it was political.

I gotta be honest sometimes you don't become the quiet kid on purpose, like you got bullied at school (let's take my example of just being frail and sensitive), so you naturally develop a mechanism to, you know, be quiet, so every stays away from you, because there's nothing to gain from you because you don't really talk, but when you do talk, it's the most interesting tea or solution EVER, because when you don't talk, you THINK, and THINK is very important in school. It gives you clout in school with the teachers, they say you are smart, nice, gentle etc etc and tbh I was friends with the teachers not with classmates, because my classmates were incredibly annoying >.> And you know what? That's fine! Not everyone gets to be lucky with their classmates. And you know, if you are friends with the teachers, they can protect you from bullies or give you a chance to better your grade, because you had that "good boy" badge. This may be a bit more of a "teacher's pet" example, but I was still considered a quiet kid

Someone once called me a serial killer. I don’t think they were trying to be mean but it was annoying. Like no dude I just have social anxiety and depression. I’m more likely to kill myself than anyone else. Also I’ve always been quiet but my big problems didn’t start until homeschool at age 11 with Lyme disease, asthma, allergies, isolation, no friends, questioning everything about myself, wishing I was “normal”, wondering if I’ll ever find love, divorced parents, dying grandparents, Ect. That’s just the summarized version. Oh this isn’t a fun comment lol. I guess I was venting a little.

As a former quiet kid , now that i achieved confidence im choosing to go back to being quiet cause it got many advantages , im going to be quiet on purpose , it takes confidence to be silent , its kinda complex then it sound but heres the thing : ppl who often talk too much will feel awkward and insecure if they dont talk , and it will take them confidence and courage to actually shut up , while theres two types of quite kids 1. Shy quite kid 2. Confident Quite kid , unfortinatly i was 1 and then it took alot until i turned it into a confident person who just extroverted , now that i achieved confidence i want to turn into number 2 (Confident Quite kid) it takes confidence but once u achieve it , its rlly cool

During the time in 6th Grade in my lifetime, I was an extremely quiet person & I had no idea why I was. I just felt as if socialising was just too much work to do since I had really poor social skills. I would very often lay think people easily knew my motives so I thought people were trying to be nice to me but they pretended that they even cared. I took a diagnosis with my mom who is a psychiatrist & she ran a diagnosis on me & said the reason why I have these social problems is because I have Asperger’s Syndrome which I was diagnosed with at the age of 12. Believing that people know your motives is a MASSIVE autistic trait & I now know why I never socialise I am only good at socialising online somehow through typing.

Its also important to note that when you do speak up about something, people listen. I've had people say that I'm smart or wise but I'm just some guy. I had beef with one kid when I was younger in elementary school/middle school but after we hit highschool he started respecting me and said beef was gone. Dude was pretty chill and when I addressed the hypocrisy of a teacher threatening to punish him for swearing I pointed out that I literally swore right before he did and got sent to one of those higher ups in the school for it. Came back and the dude apologized for what happened and thanked me for standing up for him.

I was an extremely quiet kid. I'm fairly autistic and when I was in primary school I just behaved how my brain worked and everyone just accepted me for who I am, but when high school rolled around everything changed; I was bullied for not acting like someone that age should; because I didn't know how, they overwhelmed me for kicks, made fun of my autism and took advantage of it. I eventually got the hang of being "normal" and it blew over but it really broke me, it shattered my social confidence (not just in school but everywhere) and I became petrified of the idea of people thinking negatively of me and making fun of me. I became a extremely quiet and reserved person who always flew below the radar and honestly just made an effort to not exist. Even to this day my voice is extremely croaky due to how little I've used it in the last few years. I've gotten better with social skills since then but I'm just naturally a quiet kid now.
