I never disliked FANG. It was as Tophat said well enough himself. He was designed to be an agitating antagonist and he played the role well.

I used F.A.N.G. a little bit in SFV, I wasn't tremendous with him, but he was pretty dangerous if you knew his mix-ups. As a villain in Street Fighter, I'm in the minority of viewing him as incredibly dangerous and more unpredictable than Bison, who was becoming rather frail at the time. Im intrigued by Nakayama and Kazuhiro's take on A.K.I.'s play style, if it differs greatly from his. Being a manic tsundere will entice people to give the poison mechanic another chance. Because Capcom's figured out that extreme thirst sells

The under appreciated thing about Fang is that he’s the only Shadaloo member other than bison who actually had their own initiative. While Vega, Balrog, Sagat and the Dolls are just henchmen who do what Bison says, Fang is the one actually making plans, putting them in motion and making sure they actually happen.

I can definitely understand why FANG is considered one of the most hated characters in the SF franchise.

He's actually a cool character. It's just that he was suppose to be Sagat's replacement. A lot of people was turned off by how goofy he is. Had he not been in Sagat's place, I'm sure people would have been more open to him. I like the character. Would like for him to come back.

I think AKI and FANG make sense as some sort of team, what was done to seth was inexcusable however (there was no lore reason for them to return, let alone be redesigned).

I don't relatively have a distained hatred for any SF characters F.A.N.G being 1 of them. While is most often not super note worthy I do fine his backstory being very most intriguing being one to grow up and become an assassin with poison techniques. What's more much like often the case with Street Fighter characters being inspired by real world events (Balrog>Mike Tyson,Fei Long>Bruce Lee,etc) I feel the inspiration was of old Chinese/Japanese kung-fu films with his apparel design. Side note: most recently the 2 fighting musicians from the 2014 movie Kung-fu Hustle. What's more is that of F.A.N.G's fighting style with his bird motif is supposedly the crane fighting style(Fujian white crane) which is a southern Chinese martial art in contrast to A.K.I which from judging from teaser trailer could be snake fighting style (Snake boxing or *Fanged* snake style) that would make sense going with her poison attributes. And look to be honest I don't think F.A.N.G is truly the worst character there is, at the very least he gets to do things a lot more than other characters in story *cough* Necalli *cough* Ryu. And as such him replacing Sagat as 1 of the 4 kings of Shadaloo makes more sense with him being more of obnoxious comedic relief villain to go with an angry meathead boxer, misogynistic flamboyant Spanish-ninja & malicious general dictator. And let's be honest here , I'm no analytics here but often is the case that most players would drive to like a female character more in a fighting game (about maybe 80/85%). If A.K.I was a guy not many players would have much keen liking towards him being another version of F.A.N.G. It's just the mentality of "certain" players.

His design is great. The way he Carries himself is just downright silly. Wiggling around, prancing and flapping his arms all the time. He looks goofy. If he carried himself more like old man Gen then nobody would have a problem.

AKI is just a mixture of Juri and FANG yet I already like her creepy attitude, but nothing can be as freaky as Juri and my degenerate feeling for her feet 😂

I like streetfighter six, but if I’m honest, I think that they created way too many new characters and didn’t bring backing of older characters like, sagat, fei long, balrog! i mean, in Street, fighter two fei longs ending literally shows him running his own school!

I actually enjoy F.A.N.G. because I respect the effort in making him unlikeable. It's also cathartic to see him get beat up (I'm not the best fighting game player but the few time I've played him, it was fun even though I'm not that good). A.K.I. is also well-done for the same reason--the waifu quality is just another bonus imho! Also, great video!

So , the shortest way i can explain this is as follows. FANG should have died when mars pushed him to his death. I wanted that coat of his at least burnt to a crisp or some sort of real damage. So he permanently kills 2 characters and suffers little to nothing at all. Meanwhile we cant even have the joy that he's dead for good after being crushed like a Disney Villian. Seriously Capcom wth. Flee And Nosell Guy or FANG for short is hated for many reasons. All of them in my mind that i've heard are legit. Besides what i already listed. But to me the greatest error with FANG is the poision mechanic. A Rotation that is literally damage over time then don't get hit for a small bit of time then do a cheap shot is poor design id expect from Blizzard. Not Capcom While im sure there are some people who liked FANG i feel his playstyle forced fast sloppy gameplay which made the fight less tactical and thus less fun. I'm sure there are better ways to handle the concept of poision. Lets hope they figured it out for A.K.I.

Worst Street Fighter ever? I respectfully disagree. That honor goes to Lee, Mike, or even Rufus. At least F.A.N.G. has similarities to Kefka, one of the greatest videogame villains ever... so at the very least, he has that going for him. He may look like a jobber, but is deceptively cunning in his own way. They even share the same Japanese VA. The fact that he was able to capture Alex - a character who canonically defeated Gill, one of the most powerful characters in the series - and send him back after testing him with little effort makes me wonder... how easily could he threaten the relatives of the other fighters - like Sakura's immediate family, for instance - if he really wanted to? Sometimes I feel like the writers dropped the ball on his potential as a villain narratively.

I came to sf6 late. I didn’t spoil anything for myself so I knew nothing about any of the dlc characters. The first thing I played against was aki. I was like who’s this chick? Round one started she threw poison and I screamed out “Oh God why tf is this character still here?!”
