I missed your lessons last week, so I was happy to see your new lesson! I've been in a couple of job interviews already. During these times, the interviewer usually told everything about the company and I think this is the case where not many of us could have asked any relevant questions - make the interviewer to repeat herself over and over again seems a bit silly. Of course, to show interests in the company where we would like to work at is useful but we need to distinguish. What I defintely wouldn't do on a job interview is to bite my nails, draw sailing boats while listening to the history of the company (it may be boring but we need to know the background of the company), to yawn without covering my mouth with my hand, to fart, to make grimaces while listening or giving answers, to be rude (according to the customs of the company/country).

Hi Emma, Your lesson is very informative about how to face interview in positive way and avoid worst things. I admire your suggestions and tips and spread its on my level. Miss your last two week lessons. Some other examples of good interview: 1. The best strategies to use during your interview to stand out. 2. Anticipate the interviewer's concerns and reservation. 3. Be ready to handle inappropriate question, 4. Think positive. Thank you.

Other things to avoid during a job interview: 1- The use of words that belittle the interviewee's personality (reducing words) such as: "small"; example: "I have a small experience", "But"; example: "This Job interests me but..." 2- Closed body language: arm crossing, incorrect posture (e. g. back position not straight, chin not elevated, shoulders not open backwards). 3- Fugitive eye contact.

Excellent video. Decided to check this out after viewing the one on Aussie slang. A couple of other things worth knowing as far what not to do in an interview include not contradicting the interviewer, as it shows a lack of respect, as well as never touching anything on the interviewer's desk or making comments about their office, both of which would be considered boundary issues. Lastly, never answer "I don't know" if asked what your goals are, as it shows a lack of focus.

it's really helpful, thanks i have a small comment , I think it's not that good to ask this question to the interviewer ( what is the company's position in professional development ? ) because you should know the answer after the search you should made before going the interview and asking this question tells that you didn't make a search and you're not interested in getting this job, you are just applying, I hope you got my point. thanks alot for your efforts and making us so happy like that.
