I knew you'd enjoy this episode! Interesting snippet: The actor who played Scully's sister, (Melissa McGraw,) dated the actor who played Krycek, (Nicholas Lea.)

Such a great episode with so many good character moments could take all day talking about them. What I particularly love about this episode is Mulder making the choice to put aside his revenge to be by Scully's bedside - his presence, belief and words is what really brings her back from death and that's pretty amazing.

This episode is AMAZING. Easily one of the very best. I love that we get insight into absolutely everyone's character, most obviously Mulder and Scully (that monologue by her dad was fantastic). But I particularly like the way we learn more about Skinner with his near-death experience in Vietnam and we learn more about Mr. X, that he's motivated by loyalty to his predecessor Deep Throat and he did what he could to help Mulder but he is much more focused on self-preservation. Yeah, Mulder and Scully didn't have much of a reunion in this episode but Scully's abduction will have ramifications that they'll have to deal with going forward both personally and for the plot of the show. Big stuff ahead!

One Breathe was terrific, it still is one of my all time faves. I agree that she was missed when gone. I’m glad they didn’t recast her because of the pregnancy.

Funny thing is I think there was originally some idea to make a romantic relationship between Mulder and Scully's sister. I also think there was a notion to make the sexy vampires from the previous episode into a recurring threat like they would be the major supernatural antagonists of the show... or something.
