The iv of water is a saline solution. It keeps you hydrated and keeps the iv line open and ready for whatever else needs to go in.

Came here to say the same I've had 5 different saline infusions. Last one after a terrible eat infection and my entire body sweated profusely I was scared the nurse was and my mom was the only child one who got me ice water and dumped it on me and I drank the rest of ice water. Needless to say it was the nurses first day and the doc said all his years never seen saline IV cause that bad if sweating. LMAO everyone learned that day.

I’ve had to have a saline bag quite a few times bc I was having vomiting episodes where I’d puke like 20 times in a row and get so dehydrated I’d be shaking. That shit SUCKED, wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. But the saline feels nice, it makes your body feel cool and once you start to feel it working it’s a huge relief

Luckily benzos are only contraindicated with other depressant type drugs like alcohol, opioids, barbiturates etc. Unless his bro was on pain killers or any other sedating stuff then he should be ok. But yes always best to check these things 😂. Better safe than sorry!

Yes, they will give you just a water IV. Well, its got some salt in it too to keep your electrolytes in balance. The bag will be marked "saline." Its an automatic cure for a hangover or dehydration/heat exhaustion too.

I’m no doctor but when I was in the hospital, they put me on a liquid IV which was just water but it makes you feel better and it’s puts the liquid directly into your bloodstream I think. But much love @gblin always a pleasure watching these videos :) 🎉🎉

Yes the water one is basically water but usually with salts and or minerals for you. You also have one with every nutrient you need (in case you cannot eat) so you won’t starve.
