He first heard her voice and her words. She spoke as a mature young lady. Also being from a military family, he recognized the level of intelligence she possessed. It got his attention, the hand just increased his curiosity more. He had been waiting for someone that lite the spark for him.

no, she clearly was not into him at this moment. she is intelligent so of course, she knows how general of an army works and what they possess coz her father is also a general. she does this betraying his granduncle only to get back at her family especially her grandmother and second aunt from the abuse and neglect they did to her. in my opinion, she started a little interest in him when he saved her from the fire until she finally met him f2f at princess yuchang's bday banquet where she doesn't know shiyilang is ling buyi.
