Watched it twice. You did one of the most best analysis, from start to finish

Thank you so much for saying that.

Thank you for this. People saying the film humanizes the Nazis are missing the whole point. As Glazer has said, it’s not about what they did then; it’s about what we do now. We ignore horrors every day.

the perhaps most important movie i have seen in a long long time. i especially love how the women are portrayed. i have a feeling entire books could be written about how well and chilling toxic femininity is portrayed in this movie. thank you for covering this movie, i hope as many people as possible take the time to go and see it

This reviewer is indeed a professional. He gives a nuanced and insightful analysis of this film. Dear Sir, please review Sandra's other recent film: The Anatomy of a Fall.

Excellent review of this film! I recently watched it online. I’m so glad I didn’t see it in the theater as the background noises would have been so much more apparent.

You are so lucky to have watched it at home and online… in theatre it was definitely weirdly intense.

The symbolism in this movie was amazing. The ending (no spoiler alerts), of what was physically happening to him while in the light. Before he descending into darkness, had me thinking for hours.

Great review; one of the best I’ve seen on this movie that I actually watched 3 separate times to take everything in.

I have ADHD and I am very sensitive at the noise, so this film was very uncomfortable to watch for me. I never thought that the vacuum cleaner could be a terrify thing to hear. Those last minutes in the museum, WOW, I cant imagine working in a place like this. Esta peli también me motivo a aprender alemán y polish, quisiera entender todo a la perfección.

The most shocking moment was when the boy looks from the window when an inmate is shot in the river..

@@TwoCents23 The film Son of Saul was based on a true story. Photographs taken in a super courageous way by a Kapo in Auschwitz II-Birkenau. It was totally illegal for Kapos to take pictures in the extermination camps.

This sounds incredible and can't wait to watch when it's on streaming. (Not sure if incredible is the right word considering the subject matter, but the cinematography and sound design sound like it's very impressive.)
@TwoCents232 ай бұрын
Nah incredible is definitely the right word for the film, but again it’s super slow and you should have your volume up, because they made it so subtle so it doesn’t feel like they were pushing the sound on your and that’s kind of neat.

Well even the title Zone of Interest suggests it's about focused attention they focus on their pretty flowers and nice house and themselves instead of the horrors next door but eventually it can't be ignored anymore they can't gaslight themselves indefinitely. Think of a child in ghetto I remember Mike Tyson talking about seeing people getting shot in the street and hearing police sirens constantly he's always in street fights probably most of the buildings in his neighborhood were dilapidated it's stressful for everyone compared to being on a farm with acres of fruit trees and flowers and vegetables garden a pretty home etc. but you may still have violence in that environment too hogs and chickens to slaughter for instance so that's what I think Jonathan meant about "dehumanization" they just adapt to their environment but it's not a healthy environment really even if they are not the ones in prison.

We’ve become Desensitized to so many things , and eventually history becomes oblivious if we don’t truly learn from our past.

You’re absolutely right and I think we are in someways going through some of that right now all over again.
