You would want to polish / sand the rod cap, not the rod, because removing material from the rod , reduces it's length while only being . 001"+/-, ,. Anytime materials are removed, the rods should be balanced with each other, especially the end material was removed from, it doesn't hurt to remove the balance pads, nearly completely, as long as the weight is kept equal, and the crank counter weight can be lightened considerably if done properly gaining in performance and reliability! ✌️

At what RPM do/can these engines/motors REV out too I'd like to see if someone could make these for a Oldsmobile V8 engine I know it's possible for camshaft but unsure about the con rods and crankshaft main bearing awesome video peace and much respect to you 👍

Wouldn't it be easier to stake the bearing shell to the big end, so that the bearings don't spin but the rollers do?
@USSRDragon21 күн бұрын
The bearing cage has to be be able to move with the bearings otherwise you end up with more or less a bidirectional sprag clutch.

Hi You can not compare a KS 600 OHV to a R12 Side valve. BMW R66 or R51 is space age compared to KS600. Pressed up roller bearing crank much better. What part of the UK are you ? Regards. Jimi

Hi, I compared it to the the R12 because everyone else does even though they are a different decade in design at least. I think that most people just split WW2 in to half for bikes in their minds and go 1937-1941 was R12 and KS600 then 1942 was R75 and KS750. Hampshire.
