It really sounds GREAT. The saturation is thick and gooey. Very tubey and transformer laden. Totally disable the time control though its too dramatic. The EQ sounds beautiful though, But the compressor could use some secondary attack release controls under the hood perhaps

that indeed saved me the money. You can get it for 29.99 at the moment. One sale of many to come. But what you said - it's basically just another saturator - did save me the money.

Fairchild doesn't really work the same way....this is probably more adaptable and useful, but not the same on a mix bus.👍

"Didn't hear anything unique about it" - well, they literally built a real piece of hardware and modeled it from that so ya there's that. Wunderlich is german for "time travel" or something like that. I think this pluggin is interesting, it's essentially a channel strip with less refined features than your average strip - great if you dont need a lot of tweeking but still want to add some color. I wish we could have gotten some TMT in there.

Being modelled on a real bit of hardware doesn’t alter the fact that it’s very easy to get the same sound with almost any combination of saturation, compression and eq plugins. But I agree it sounds good, just not unique. Adding TMT to saturation will just add to smearing…so not really missed imo. 👍

It doesn't really....might look similar but no tonal similarity. UAD do a great Fairchild emulation. 👍

This gave some strange results in plug-in doc, the roll off is abit much, the boost is a huge low end tilt and I’m not sure the AC / DC is actually helpful as two separate knobs. But I want to like it due to its amazing marketing and gui😂😢 I wanted a Fairchild not this? Leaving this decision up to Sean

It sounds great. Its not a fairchild but sounds incredible to be honest. The “time” or whatever its called- parameter, is too heavy handed. As far as DC and AC being separate knobs - its threshold and ratio; why would anyone want them to be one knob

@@StudioLife101 how right you are. I sometimes literally would not bet money on my hearing as many things sound like its the same happening just with different settings. That said, consider reviewing some Sonimus plugins. They are relatively well priced and very interesting

I’m demoing it and its really nothing special, p42 climax or saturn do a better job at filthification, the compressor seems like an opto tube kind which we all have atleast a dozen of them lol
