Fun fact: the crab "brain" is not brain at all. The crab's actual brain is incredibly tiny. All that brown stuff is actually an organ called the "hepatopancreas" and it functions sort of like the pancreas/liver in mammals. It secretes digestive enzymes and helps with the absorption of food. So, really, it's more like eating crab liver! Americans may know this better as "mustard", a colloquial term for this organ and the other guts of the crab based on the yellow-ish color

Now he has so much backlog content that he probably could coast for a long while and make little vlog type videos here and there and be fine for years . I'm glad he's gotten to live a more relaxed life now especially seeing him and marzia are a family

i had eggs almost everyday as a kid. you know how parents will buy you a bunch of something when they find out you love it, yeah. that was me with my grandma, she would always make me soft boiled eggs for breakfast and put soy sauce over them. she would also fry eggs for me when there weren't any side dishes for me to eat rice with. i started to feel "meh" about eggs but my grandma passed away a few months ago and whenever i cook eggs for myself, im always reminded of her.

Felix probably tasting the rice when he said sweet. You kinda just block out the flavor of rice if you eat it too much, which is the case in most Asian. I did remove rice in my diet for a month and after being advised to up my carb intake, I ate rice and it tasted sweeter than before.

One thing that always shocks me about these videos is people talking about how expensive stuff is in Japan. The eel being 715 yen was shocking to them, but like in America in Medium COL area (for food at least), it's $7 for 2 Salmon nigiri, and $8 for 2 eel nigiri. Its so crazy how much cheaper stuff seems in Japan.

I know exactly how Felix was feeling half way through 😂 when you're already at your limit the next pieces of sushi aren't nearly as appetizing as they should be. Almost to the point where you feel like puking and never want to look at another piece of sushi again. Until the week after, that is.

Even attempting to eat 40+ pieces of sushi is pretty wild. I think I’ve had 18ish plates at kaitenzushi, but some plates only have 1 piece.

I grew up in Japan and the first uni I had was so bad I still don’t eat it that much. I hear it’s the smell of alum they use to wash /sanitize / preserve it before they pack and seal in the factory that kills and takes over the flavor… as an adult I try to get the fresh ones of higher quality and those tastes heavenly❤

They ate enough mercury we saw the sanity leave in real time. Very cool video. I wish I had all those options here in the states but most of the places around me have the same basic options unless you go crazy expensive.
