The Benefits of this Guided Meditation for Anxiety: Learning to Let Go
In today's fast-paced world, many people struggle with anxiety and its accompanying challenges. One powerful tool that has gained popularity in recent years is guided meditations for anxiety. By incorporating this surrender specific guided meditation for anxiety into your routine, you will learn to let go of anxiety and experience a multitude of benefits for your mental and emotional well-being such as:
1. Cultivating Relaxation Response:
This guided meditation for anxiety will activate the body's relaxation response, which counteracts the stress response triggered by anxiety. Through soothing and calming instructions, guided meditation prompts deep relaxation, slowing down your heart rate, reducing blood pressure, and easing muscle tension. This response creates a sense of calm, allowing anxiety to dissipate.
2. Heightened Self-Awareness:
Anxiety often stems from a lack of self-awareness and an inability to stay present in the moment. This surrender session directs your attention inward, helping you observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment. This increased self-awareness enables you to identify anxious patterns and triggers, empowering you to respond more effectively to anxiety-inducing situations.
3. Enhanced Emotional Regulation:
During this guided meditation for anxiety, you learn to observe and acknowledge your emotions without becoming overwhelmed by them. By practicing detachment from anxious thoughts and feelings, you gain a greater sense of control over your emotional state. With regular practice, you'll develop the ability to regulate your emotions, preventing anxiety from spiraling out of control.
4. Improved Cognitive Function:
Anxiety can impair cognitive functions such as concentration and decision-making. Tis letting go meditation will enhance cognitive abilities by fostering mental clarity and focus. By training your mind to let go of anxious thoughts and distractions, you create space for improved cognitive processing and problem-solving skills.
5. Stress Reduction:
Get ready to overall stress reduction, which is vital for managing anxiety. When you engage in this guided meditation for anxiety daily, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for relaxation. This physiological shift reduces the production of stress hormones such as cortisol, leading to decreased anxiety levels and an improved sense of well-being.
6. Increased Resilience:
Regular practice of this guided meditation for anxiety strengthens your resilience to anxiety. As you become more adept at letting go of anxious thoughts and embracing the present moment, you develop a resilient mindset. This resilience helps you bounce back from anxiety-inducing situations, recover faster, and maintain a positive outlook even during challenging times.
Conclusion:
This letting go meditation provides a transformative path towards managing anxiety and achieving emotional well-being. By cultivating relaxation, self-awareness, emotional regulation, improved cognitive function, stress reduction, and resilience, individuals can let go of anxiety and experience a greater sense of peace and tranquility. Incorporating guided meditation into your daily routine can be a valuable tool in your journey towards a calmer and more fulfilling life.

This was very different from most of the other anxiety meditations I’ve been doing, like instead of focusing on relaxing and getting rid of my anxiety this is actually focusing on the feelings of anxiety in my body without trying to change or control anything and it wasn’t easy at first I thought it was making me feel worse but the more I listened I realized how much I needed this and to know it’s just an uncomfortable energy, thankyou so much!! ❤

My dad had a stroke today and has been sitting in bed in hospital awaiting treatment feeling he was slowly losing his mind, riddled with anxiety. I remember your video helping me in hard times in the past and decided to try on my dad, even though I thought he’d not be willing to try. He did. And after the first few minutes we all instantly noticed an improvement in his relentlessness and unease. I sat with him for hours as he watched this on loop the whole time. I had to leave the hospital as visiting hours were over but my mum was allowed to stay. She just text me saying he’s still watching it. Thank you so much for your help.

It is my ongoing 3rd year that I suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and fobias. It is one of the hardest experiences I have faced so far in my life. Living always on high tension, not able to calm, not able to socialise and explore the beauty around you, unable to enjoy simple things and always feeling pain and exhaustion, mentally and physically. There are always good and bad days, ups and downs. Thank God I have people who support me on this. Those sessions is something that offer me the relaxation when all pharmaceuticals can not. I fully understand that I should tame my mind and control my thoughts. Sometimes I can, others I find myself ready to give up on everything. To everyone out there, you are not alone, you are not weak, you are not sick, you are not doomed, you are not done with anything. I wish I could give a hug to anyone feeling the same way. This is not the end for all of us. Always remember that you are loved, you have kind soul, a powerful body and mind and that today is not the day that you are done. Not today. Life is out there for us. Thank you all for sharing. And speak up, we are out for each other

Quite literally put tears into my eyes… I suddenly felt myself observing my old self in an anxious energy bubble and witnessed a letting go/dying of the old me who thought he could fight his anxiety. This meditation allowed me to see that the battle could not be won as the same self who was trying to battle it. I could only release through witnessing the old me experience this lifelong battle, and see that the battle could never be won, but witnessed from above that energy plain. Sort of ties into Einsteins quote that problems can’t be solved on the same level of thinking that they exist. Thank you

The panic wanted to kick in as soon as I sat on the plane but I played this before take off and surrendered instead of fighting or trying to stop the panic and it worked! Going on the plane even if it was a short flight San Diego to San Francisco has built my confidence… my goal is Europe. Dennis I want to ask you… how do you handle jet lag? Or time zone changes when traveling? Thank you 🙏🏻
@TheAnxietyGuy1
@TheAnxietyGuy1 10 ай бұрын
With patience, in this case the mind leads the body from one time zone to another, jet lag is also perpetuated by the mind but we can come from a place of being non judge-mental and allow the body to find balance as it does.

Wow wow wow … when I tell you my body started freaking out at first . My arm , my leg , my stomach was doing weird reactions until it just finally stopped . The energy was really traveling everywhere and it was a little difficult to not let my mind react but I did it and I feel soooo much better . I feel like I finally surrendered and gave up trying to be in control . I’m going to be doing this every day probably twice a day . I never did this before I always would react or have safety behaviors , distractions … but I’m ready to let this go completely! I will be joining the course soon !

Usually, I do 5 - 10 minute meditations. Seeing around 20 minutes did seem at first intimidating. I've noted myself getting distracted, but then gently gave myself the forgiveness to come back. A huge reason why I started was because I knew this is something that will benefit my overall health in so many ways. I noted myself in the middle of it shifting in a way I never shifted before. In a good way. For this shift I want to thank you. Thank you. From someone who only does 5- 10 minute meditations, I find myself wanting to play this again a second time through. I appreciate you. This is my first video I am watching by you #subscribed

I struggled for about 5 years now with burnout, anxiety,/ anxiety attacks, fear, panic thoughts and attacks. I think I am currently more afraid of the symptons and being struck with an unexpected trigger from anywhere. I've been in therapy. But somewhere deep down is all the pain and fear. Most of the thoughts I dont even dare to speak out loud. I have ADD so my mind goes absolutely out of controll sometimess and together with anxiety thats not a good combination. I cant medidate normally. I have tried and failed many times. But this one clip. However it may have found me, has somehow made me able to feel safe, put down the road for a minute and feel and let happen. I have never experienced anything quite like it. Thank you. I hope many other will feel the same way. I have learned that Anxiety will probably stay with me for the rest of my life. It cannot be cured 100%. But with this video. I feel like that is Okay and I can still overcome it and experience happiness. Powerfull message " letting go"

What a beautiful message! I have had the same realization recently: I will most likely struggle with anxiety and panic thoughts for the rest of my life. In a way, it's comforting to surrender to that thought, because we are also able to love and live with uncomfortable energy ❤ Let's not forget we're never alone, let us let go together

I don’t normally leave comments but honestly you have really helped release a lot of my anxiety just by watching you once. I kept leaning more into my thoughts thinking if I did it would go away or if I won against it, it would go away but then something else would take its place but surrendering to the thoughts and letting go off the rope makes me feel a peace I’ve been chasing for so long. Thank you it’s not completely gone but thank you for helping me realise that what I really needed to do was let go rather than keep on thinking about it until it goes away. I’ve been over thinking for so long I don’t think I could ever stop but this technique is so helpful just by listening I feel more at peace and in the moment. Everything you said was spot on so thank you again.

I started a new medication that triggered a streak of panic attacks that I have been suffering from now for over a month almost every day. I stopped taking the medicine 3 weeks ago and I’m still afflicted with anxiety, and this is the only thing that has truly worked. I was able to attend two work dinners this week and be fully present even with the anxiety still within me when before I had to isolate myself and focus on backend work for nearly two weeks, I could barely speak to anyone or do anything without it affecting me in some way. This has helped me tremendously, thank you so much.

Hey Jacob, I’ve been where you are and I promise you that big pharma meds are Not the answer. I was put on several and each one screwed my brain up worse. Don’t fall for the lie that they help you. Grounding yourself through meditation can help immensely. In fact, it’s the only thing that helped me initially when I started getting panic attacks. But I’ve spent the last 6 years focused and searching for anxiety relief and I can tell you what I’ve found that helps. First you need to understand you are capable of so much more than you think you are. I suggest listening to the audiobook ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ by David Goggins. I found it highly motivating. When you feel your body tensing up and anxiety trying to creep in and take over… that is YOUR nervous system. YOU can tell your nervous system that everything is okay, look around and acknowledge how everything is actually fine. Tell your body to relax and feel it release the tension you’re inadvertently holding in different areas. If you keep yourself focused on a task and be productive, it will help a lot. Sometimes I go out and pick the trash up along the road to focus my attention and actions on something helpful. If you have somewhere to plant a garden I’d suggest placing focus on that. And even if you aren’t religious, I personally am not religious but I believe in a God that is out there to help guide us and protect us. Prayer has been the most anxiety releasing thing I’ve found. Your adrenal glands could also be drained so you might want to look into an adrenal supplement. Oh!! And whenever you’re starting to feel anxious, go straight to the breath. Deep and slowly in your nose and slowly release out your mouth. While doing the breathing, shift your attention to appreciation. Look around and be grateful in your mind to God for each and every thing that has brought something good into your life. Even things that we’ve all taken for granted on the daily like our vision and our hands. Go out and look at the sky because blue is a calming color for your brain. Try these things. I promise they can help. 🙏🏽

I went from being tense to just neutral after this session, my vision felt different. I saw myself stepping back first in a looping hole from something that didnt go further away, then i stopped focussing on what was coming to me. but just on the stepping back, then i saw myself falling and being free in a galaxy, after the session i just laughed and cried at the same time. Really unique feeling. Thanks for the guided meditation.

I have sever anxiety attacks every morning and I really appreciate this video it calms me and I cried when people here said that "it's safe to let go" I've been studying for almost 2 years for a career exam and next week is my 3rd attempt of the exam. I feel like I'm so anxious and stressed of what is the outcome. But then again, it really is safe to let go whatever the result. I'll listen to this videos, it really helped me a lot calm my mind, my body. Bless you so much. Update: I finally passed the exam and I am healing and doing well.

Thank you so much for this. I have been dealing with anxiety since 2007, when I was nearly 18. I've had long positive streaks w/o anxiety but from time to time I get these crisis which last for several weeks or months and which are really overwhelming. In my case, now my mind convinces me that I cannot think in anything (literally anything) without getting anxious. It's as if every time I think about something, anxiety pops out and the fear appears. As if I were constantly validating if the fear comes, and of course it does, so I feel I'm losing control because I cannot think of anything. It's as if I was burning a last resource which is my ability to think. Really hard to explain but I'm having a really hard time.
