I've had the Goblintown box set sitting around for years now but this video really makes me want to pull ot out and start painting!

Just opened the box set... probably one of the last unopened in existence haha. Painting the goblins skin is enjoyable plus it teaches you how to correctly tone and blend so other projects concerning skin tones dont seem so daunting. I remember the first time I tried painting a mordor troll... was bad. Thanks for the handy advice.

I have watched the talented (goblin) painters on you tube and had issues achieving the same effect (they are probably more talented than I). After several attempts I finally figured out something that worked for me. After the grey base coat and rakarth flesh coat, I did the wash (seraphim sepia, reikland fleshshade, carroburg crimson all work well). After that I skipped layering and went straight to dry brushing on screaming skull over the whole figure. After that dried I dry brush on pallid wych flesh for highlights. Then of course the clothes, eyes, weapons, etc pretty much the same as any you tube video. Just wanted to share if any one else was struggling with their finished product.

Would be great to have a list of all paintings used in the video (and in future videos too).

New to painting, so thank you very much for the excellent tutorials. I am wondering, when you "wash" the figure, is the wash thinned out or just OOTB? Also, do you let the figure absolutely dry between each operation? Maybe a time indication for each step would be helpful for those that don't already know. Regardless, excellent work. I'm working my way up to a War Mumak of Harad adventure... won't that be a challenge!

Why use glaze medium and water instead of just water? What does the medium do?

How did you make the base? Did you used real stones from Game Work Shop, and painted it grey?

when you washed it with rakarth flesh you said you thinned down the paint with water and glaze medium. I was just wondering what glaze medium is and where I can get it from cheers
