My dear father was born & raised in beautiful Santa Paula California!! At 18 years of age he left to come down to Los Angeles to work got married & raised his family. All his life he told stories of how all his childhood friends and their families still lived in SP and how good the community and weather are ..Papa CHUY alway came back to visit SP two or three times a year attending reunions with his friends!! My father always aspired to retire and move back to his Hometown.. it just didn't happen..My told many stories about Santa Paula like attending the Mission Theater and how Musician Danny Flores of the Champs Tequila fame.could play many different instruments & you could hear him all day long into the night practicing hardly going outside to play !! He even changed his name to Chuck Rio for some time.. one thing for sure. CHUY ALWAYS LOVE SANTA PAULA WITH ALL HIS HEART ❤ ALWAYS.. Thank you very much for posting & sharing. ❤ to all

Kempo Cornelius I was sadly born there and have been by the mansion above the high school hundreds of times. Never going back again is good with me!!

It didn't look like it was on a hill either. It might just be a different building. It probably wasn't big enough to hold so many people anymore, so they could've demolished the old one and built a new one, maybe even in a whole new location. 🤷🏻♀️
