But it cracked me up that you had the 'BTS is not just a boyband' realisation with Boy With Luv, which is *by far* their most 'boyband' style song 😂 Seriously though, this song is great fun, but imo the real gold with BTS is on their album tracks, of which they write the majority themselves. Thanks to Stan for telling Brian about the struggles. 😊 Yes, when they started out, they slept in bunk beds stuck together, all seven in one tiny, cramped room. They said after a while, they got used to each other's sleeping habits. 😂 Even now that they're millionaires and have their own apartments, they still choose to live together. A couple still share a room bc they just like having each other around.

For me there aren’t a boy group at all, I am 31 and on my youth there was all the boygroup frenzy and I wasn’t interested st all. My whole life I wasn’t and I also don’t listen to pop.but BTS snatched my heart by being so humble, authentic and so hard working. I love their message and lyrics. This really is very poppy and sweet but they have sooooo many songs with great inspirational lyrics that liftbppl up in every situation. BTS stand for a korean word "방탄소년단" means bullet proof guys.

They dance like Best American Dance Crew but they can rap and sing at the same time - Eric Nam. A Korean host that seen them from the bottom and still friends with them til now. Ur correct when u said they set the bar high. Oh boy u have no idea, how freakin genuinely talented they all are and geniuses at the same time yet still humble they all are plus they are all funny as hell and they love each other, roast each other and respect each other like a family and brothers genuinely.

You are right. They're the biggest thing (bigger than any American, European, Asian musical group/artist that ever existed) since The Beatles. That's why they have the biggest budget for music and music videos: the best music producers, music video directors, choreographers, set designers, production team, post production team etc are hired. The thing that Bighit did right with BTS is they let the boys have a say in what music they wanted to compose and produce from the beginning. Other kpop groups dont get a say.

I think it's also important to say that Korean pop industry didn't become so famous over night. Many Korean Solo Artists and groups/bands (name them as you want) who paved the way for many artists as our beloved Bigbang, BTS, Simon Dominic etc.

Im glad you enjoyed it! I've neverly been one for super poppy music, but I just loved this song so much. So, so much. I think you would really enjoy seeing them perform Boy With Luv and Mic Drop at SNL!! Their talent translates into the stage even when the stage is not up to par to them (they need bigger spaces and yet they killed their performance). Also, I don't know if you'll react to it or if maybe you could watch it on your time, but there's this video by xCeleste called "BTS Nobodies to Legends pt 2", it showcases BTS story, from start to 2018. How they really came from nothing, their company was almost bankrupt, they were told over and over by others that they wouldn't make it, that they would not succeed, that they should give up, people tried to end their careers, and yet, here they are, standing on top of the world, and I'm insanely proud. This might be TMI, but BTS saved my life, they found me in a very dark time when I had already planned my s**cide, had it not be for them, I might not be writing this comment right now... to be honest, I never thought I'd turn 20 years old, and yet I turned 23 almost a month ago. I believe they are the most talented human beings on earth, but they might not be and there might come someone more talented, but I believe there are very few people like them who just shine so bright. They're very special. Us, ARMY, even have a saying "BTS is the Universe's favorite children" because whenever something bad happens or antis start acting up, something good happens for them, like the universe truly doesn't want them unhappy or hurt. They weren't given "crappy" rehearsal rooms. They didn't get a rehearsal room. Just as the American music industry is corrupt and dictated by certain gatekeepers, the Korean industry is just as corrupt in similar but different ways. It would take way too much to try to go into it. Really hoping you will listen to Spring Day and view "Spring Day explained". RM one of the primary lyricists on the song. And it holds a great deal of meaning for BTS fans, anyone who has experienced loss, and holds quite a bit of significance for Korean especially.
