Always the best way, you stay cool, co-operative & polite & do everything that they tell you to do without any argument & most Police Officers (in the UK anyway) will treat you decently, yes there are the odd nasty ones (as you'll find anywhere) but generally, no, you'll be fine, treated well, even if you do end up in the cells of the local nick.

@@cherylmillard2067 Looks like from another comment it burned in 1840's and was rebuilt with a few original features still standing so one would likely say sometime after that date because of rebuild and list original features and age.

its not 1000 yrs old, most of it was built in 1843. In UK 1000 yrs ago we lived in mud huts. What a waste of tax payers money sending all those armed coppers out for a civil trespass. Not surprised it closed, it looked like a crappy hotel.
