As I was reflecting on the past year, one of my thoughts was, "we can never be too greedy when it comes to the things of God". This song is beautiful & SO POWERFUL. Throughout the week leading up to its release I had been seeing Mrs. Jobe post a teaser of it on her Instagram and although the teaser was short, in that short amount of time the song spoke a meaning into me that I cannot even do justice putting into words. Here lately, I’ve been thinking about just being in God’s presence, giving him the praise he is so worthy of. To be honest, it’s all that’s been on my mind for a few weeks. I’ve thought to myself, “you know God…I love you so much…all I want to do is cry out to you, give you praise, to sing to you, give you glory every moment I breathe. I don’t want there to be a moment that I’m not singing of your praise.” I’ve felt God say to me recently that he’s got something amazing for me, to save many lives, and I don’t even know what that means or even now what I’m supposed to be doing in life. I don’t know whether I’m going the right direction, if I should go in another direction and to be frank I cried out to God that I’ve just got this fear in me…fear that I’m going the wrong direction, or might go the wrong way from where he wants me, that I’ve gone too far to turn back, etc. and all I could manage to do in my prayer was cry out to him with tears flowing down my face, “I’m just so scared, I don’t know what do do…all I want to do is serve you and Im afraid I’ll mess it up…I need your help! I need your help”! That’s what this song has spoken to me…is just a cry, a cry for God. A cry for his spirit, his presence, more of him and less of me. All I want in my life is God. What is better? What is truly better? I just want to cry out to God, get on my knees and cry out for his spirit… “ALL I WANT IS MORE OF YOU…THATS ALL I WANT.” I love him so much! ❤️ I never want to be in a place where I’m not receiving more of him…and I don’t know what that means for me, and what I should do? Here at the start of the new-year my church will be doing something called 21 days or prayer & fasting. I want to fast something, something to really show my faith to God, to starve my flesh and feed his spirit within me. To receive a revelation from him in that. I don’t know what I should fast. I need help figuring that out. I want it to be something more than social media, or the internet because I’ve done those but I just really want to grow with God, but I’m at a loss for what I should do. I apologize for rambling on a KZfaq comment section of all things but I just needed to speak my heart out to someone or something. If anyone would be willing, my name is Blake and I’d just ask anyone who reads this, “could you pray for my 21 day fast, that God would show me what I should fast, and that I would grow closer to him over my fast, and that God would even give me revelation for my true purpose in life?
