I've seen variations of that strategy (which is a good many times-just not applicable to Shaq) involving the Twin Towers, Hakeem, Ewing, and Oakley, Robinson, and Rodman. More often than not-Shaq still got the ball down-low. The type of strain Shaq would have put on the Warriors with foul trouble would SEVERELY limit how they play him, the type of lineups they could put on the court, and prevent them from playing their ideal tempo on offense. The number of high-percentage shots Shaq would make (and the absurd number of free throws he would get) against a team of small size would be too much for the Warriors to handle, regardless of what their backcourt would do.

Curry or any of the defenders mentioned for Kobe can guard D Fish as he's only 6'1. So with that said, I ask you, how is Shaq opening up Kobe? You want to rely on Kobe winning the game with the mid-range or 3s? Because if Shaq is being doubled... that means more ppl are in the paint thus Kobe can't drive easily and only Derek Fisher is spacing the floor for the Lakers... besides, Kobe isn't the player who'll be open from doubling Shaq. Against the Lakers pick and role or screen you have Zaza stay back, Draymond trap over the screen alongside whoever the 3rd defender is. If they pass to one of the other Lakers not in the action, you still have Zaza down low to protect the paint alongside the 2 other defenders making it still essentially a 3vs3 with Shaq no longer in the action. You can't do the same against the Warriors because they have shooters thus they space the floor much more and so the Lakers defense can't cover/defend simultaneously or help d like the Warriors can vs the Lakers shooting deficient roster... Warriors win in 5-6 games. A more interesting series would be pairing up any 2 of these teams: 2000-01 Lakers 2016-17 Cavs Prime Chicago Bulls
