Tbh, I prefer when you recap the backstory and go into the actions of the characters in the game. Since it’s about the game lore and the character’s lore, their actions in game are pretty important to who they are. As long as you put a disclaimer at the beginning saying it’s going to spoil stuff, it should be fine. If somebody watches it and is upset about being spoiled even with a disclaimer, that’s on them.

There is a theory that Booker is actually an alternate universe version of Johnny Topside/Delta. Aside from the somewhat obvious hand scar that reads A.D on Booker and the letter for Delta (overlap A and D, see what it looks like) being present on both and identifying them as an enemy of the "city", there are parallels with Elizabeth/Eleanor AND with Lamb. It's pretty easy to see how Elizabeth is Eleanor - the name, the plasmid/splicing, the affinity for amplifying these powers, the care for the children, etc. But there's another thing. In Rapture (or that Rapture) Elizabeth exists as both Eleanor AND Sofia Lamb. Remember when in Infinite Booker did not save Elizabeth? She turned into the "Lamb" to lead the flock and set everything aflame. Same mentality as Sofia Lamb(and there is a reason her name is Lamb) who led the family. At the same time Elizabeth is the daughter, the innocent side that has not yet lost hope and it surviving until she is saved. Notice Lamb comes after the conflict with Ryan and Fontaine like old Elizabeth comes after the conflict between Comstock and Fitzroy. She hates Delta because he never came to save her, much like Booker never came for old Elizabeth. Sofia is actually trying to save the city but ends up being misguided, much like old Elizabeth. If you believe this theory, replay or rewatch all the interactions between Sofia and Eleanor and you will gain a new appreciation of what she is trying to do in guiding her younger self in trying to teach her how to save herself because she is convinced nobody else will. Because she was never saved. So she despises the idea that Delta or Booker will come, as he never came for this version of her.

I was a bit disappointed that we never fought Sophia lamb like we did frank at the end of bioshock1.. It would of been cool if she turned herself into a super big sister and fought Eleanor and delta

I believe this explains why she is the villain in Bioshock 2...helpful (love your videos...keep it up! :D)

After finally playing the game "Would you kindly" gives me the chills. I just bought the Bioshock collection. I adore it. I also love Spoilers. I like to know what's coming, I know it's not practical, and probably not normal, but spoilers help me when I play games or watch movies, I dont have that the uneasiness of not knowing what's coming

sweet vid bro, i was always so intrigued by sofia lamb’s story and how she manipulated the most vulnerable people in places like pauper’s drop (one of the coolest levels in the entirety of bioshock imo) to follow her through the use of psychology and do what she says. It’s really cool and i wish BS2 got more credit for the parts of the story it did well. (also i enjoy the backstory portion of the lore videos, and wouldn’t mind if you made a different video about the same topics that went into the spoilers of the game)

Would be great if you go into the events in the game as well. I mean, you can throw in a spoiler alert just in case, but people should be responsible for avoiding spoilers for a game that came out so many years back. Realistically the people that want to go this in depth, myself and many others, probably already played the games a bunch of times already. But I think if you put on a spoiler warning, it's more than enough 😊

I have my own theory about how Sofia Lamb started The Family of Rapture. It's possible that Sofia might've met Comstock when he came to Rapture in 1949, he must've told her about Columbia and how he started everything and what happened to baby Anna (Elizabeth). So all of Comstock's beliefs must've influenced Lamb in to start her own belief and get the people of Rapture on her side and Eleanor to be like the Seed. To be honest, Bioshock 2 and BioShock Infinite have some Constants & Variables Between Rapture and Columbia. Lamb and Comstock. Delusions of paradise. Eleanor and Elizabeth. And Booker and Delta trying to rescue their daughters. Again, this is just a theory

I can see the intention but to be honest I feel like the old format of your lore videos would be more beneficial to most of your viewers. Most likely, if someone is looking for a "lore" video they don't mind the spoilers and they either finished the game, or want to know the full story about a character so a "spoiler alert" would be sufficient. I think going over the events of the game would make it better specially for people who are unable to play the game due to limitations (physical or other forms) but still would love to know every bit of the story :) just my 2 cents, great job on making amazing contents, please don't take my comment as a criticism I only say this because you are such a wonderful narrator!!

I do think you should cover the events of the game too. They're important to the character and better help explain them. As long as you put a warning in the beginning, then only they themselves are to blame.

I liked Sophia Lamb as a villain. An collective thinking villain that at heart wanted to give the citizens a good life but as time went by got more and more crazy! Personally i like her political views better than Andrew Ryan philosofy. But of course, she went too far. But a great written characrer. Maybe one of tge best in the whole series. Well done!!

I would do one on comstock from burial at sea

Regardless of your play through you should of had a boss fight with her and make your decision in the end of it. It also would have been cool if you fought an adam overdosed monstrosity that's in the way between you and Elanor somewhere in the middle of the game and she gets away and blows up where you are and you have to maneuver through the wreckage underwater.

I think you should continue the way you were doing. I love the fact you are trying to avoid spoiling the games for people. That was always something that irritated me when stuff got ruined. That said, however, it doesn't feel like a true lore video to have cut it off when you did. I think a fair solution around that would be that you do the lore video up to a point where you reach a point that it intercepts the game, and put down a MAJOR spoiler alert, do you exit, then continue the video that way people have time to know it's the end before the spoilers, here what you feel is needed to be said, then they can close the video while those who have played the game or don't mind spoilers keep watching.

Sofia the main enemy of Bioshock 2 brings more story into the game. If Sofia wasn’t in there for replacement of Andrew Ryan it wouldn’t make it “Bioshock 2” from my experience of Bioshock 2 is interesting in a way and Sofia was what made Bioshock 2 Bioshock 2

Can someone answer a question I've had for a long time. What was made first the Rosie and Bouncer or the Alpha Series? The Rosie and Bouncer were in Burial at sea which took place as the same time as the beginning cut scene of Bioshock 2 when Delta was protecting Eleanor. So that kinda makes me wonder what was made first the Rosie and Bouncer or the Alpha Series?

In case Sofia didn't know, the US had plans to invade Japan instead of bombing it. The amount of casualities projected are rather... high. (500k to 1 million perhaps higher). I would suggest the wikipedia article called Operation Downfall. Gives a decent account of it. Even Sofia had succeeded in doing what she wanted, Rapture was still screwed. There is no way Rapture would have lasted after what Jack and Delta did to the place.

First.

Way to wordy, too much reiterating, awkward phrasing, subjective reasoning where it is uneeded, production/writers perspective being given about what is beong said as it is being said, etc. Not trying to be mean, just giving soem advice. The script feels like a very first draft or improved in the moment. Make sure to write it out beforehand and review it/give it to someone else for editing remarks. Practice reading speeches or scripts fluidly on a regualr basic with emphasis on your timing and pronunciation. Better script formatting/wording will help on thsi too. When you get lost or hung up the most is when you are reading confusingly worded or run on sentences.
