Los grupos de ultra- derecha europea ,cómo VOX (este grupo es xenofobo y racista) criticaron a Rosalía por esa actuación, con gitanos. "La Rosalia responde a esos nazis..." ¡¡FUCK VOX!! I just wanna tell you guys that today came out the nominations for the 62nd Grammys Awards (USA) and Rosalia got 2 nominations (one for Best Latin Rock, Urban or Alternative Album and the second in a general Field for Best New Artist). She's the only one singing in spanish on that category. 🤗

So, explanations required: Sevilla is the city where the performance took place. It's also the capital of the autonomous community of Andalusia, where Flamenco was born. It is said that Flamenco thrived a lot in Seville, gaining the title of "Cradle of Flamenco". The stage and people mimicked a "tablao flamenco", a place where Flamenco shows take place. The hair flick is a thing of Flamenco dancers, very associated to Gypsy dancers. The last song is a modern cover/remix of a Flamenco classic, "Cositas del Ayer" de "El Parrita". PS: I'll see her live on December 8 in Barcelona! PS 2: I insist that you react to María José Llergo, "Niña de las Dunas" or "Me Miras Pero No Me Ves", she's amazing!

Comunidad latina? Rosalía es española y su música está basada en la música tradicional española, no latina. No tiene nada que ver la música flamenca con la del resto del mundo.

These dancers are real gipsy “cantaoras” and “bailaores” from Sevilla. She represents a Flamenco tablao full of energy. This is typical in Sevilla and Andalusian people (South of Spain) consider is a part of their culture. In the other hand, she brings a new form of flamenco mixed with rap, trap, techno or whatever. Rosalía was born in Catalonia and she is a cultural hearthquake.

On the other hand, flamenco emerged in the 18th century, when Muslims had been expelled from Spain for three centuries. You cannot simplify without knowing things thoroughly. Flamenco would not exist without the Hispanic substratum that has its roots three thousand years ago and that has been shaped over the centuries, with the decisive factor of Christianity, the fundamental axis of Hispanic culture. And in it is, for example, the adaptation of Gregorian chant in Mozarabic masses. The Mozarabs were the Spanish Christians who lived in Muslim territory and who suffered persecution and oppression for being Christians. Have you ever heard a Mozarabic mass? Do it and you will better understand the origins of flamenco, whose main themes are the lack of love and the Christian faith of the people. You cannot talk about flamenco without one of its main sources just because it "sounds" like Arabic to us. Sincerely.

It's fucking crazy that I saw her last year, she was so down to earth. I love her she wasn't that famous back then but she make her concert to feel like a million dollar ticket. Best time of my life if you have the chance go see her!
