When Ghazgull Thrakka has a flag bearer gretchin who somehow survives hundreds of events and thrakka even likes him and keeps him around, then thrakka sits on him by accident, killing him, and making thrakka genuinely sad about it

One of my favorite moments in the lore is when Alpharius hatched a year-long scheme to break into the imperial palace, gets all the way to a snipers nest aiming at big E, fights Trajan Valoris on a roof top, and when Malcador realizes what’s happening, he tells them to stop. The hilarious part is when Trajan is like “you failed” and Alph is like “really?” And then aims a massive orbital turret at Emps. Trajan is like “I don’t like you” and Malcy-D is like “this is petty” and The Emperor is like “so proud of my boy (he is practicing to kill me)”

Custodies are lot more fanatical about the emperor then anyone else. If they were told to slaughter every human by him… they would do just that. They don’t require justification like the church does. Church thinks that the emperor is all good and wants to help humanity. Custodies need no such justification. They will do anything. If they are told to commit suicide, they will do so without question. Talking with custodies is like talking to extremely smart computers. They aren’t interested in your bullshit or to babysit your loneliness. It makes no difference what happens as long as it’s the emperor’s will.

The custodes are probably the closest he gets to discussing/arguing with his brothers. They also arent awestruck or worship him as most imperials tend to do.

One of the funniest moments for me was guilliman trying to pick things up with the armor and being furious that he can't, then he joked about it being "his greatest enemy" and Cato watching that thinking "what the fuck is happening right now" and then asking "are yiu joking my lord?", only for guilliman to say "Yes, even I like to crack some jokes sometimes"

In the Salamanders omnibus, a salamander is flying in with some ravenguard and him trying to banter with the ravens is quite humorous to me. Like the salamander is a good hearted extrovert talking to the emokids at a Dennys kinda funny

While not Technically supposed to be funny I love a certain moment in the last Ark of Omen book when Angron is killing all the Blood Angels around him. Dante sees this and some Anger starts to swell inside of him, he sees his brother dying to this monster and readies his axe. This man is destined to save the emperor in some way, he just got a new model, and Blood Angel fans swear he is going to be the one to kill Abbadon. He then charges with all his might and lands a direct hit on Angron with his axe on his face… in which Angron responds by literally just punching Dante so hard he flys off and makes Dante go into the Family guy death pose. It’s just that mental image of like the music rising, you can see Dante start to want to live again, and now it’s the time to become the man he is destined to be to only get one tapped is always hilarious to me.

There is a really dumb one where it’s Magnus talking to logar about the warp after Monarchia and it’s really dumb because logar ask magnus “what happens if I listen to the voices” and all Magnus says to him is “ misery” and he just teleports away and he doesn’t use the warp to teleport. He use the terminator style teleportation and destroy half of the building they were in.

Also: fun fact! When Lorgars sons rush in thinking Their primarch and Magnus got nuked by a terrorist attack. They just see Lorgar doing his classic, writing a manuscript of why the emperor is a god. Which is quite funny.

@@Sara3346 Maximillian, Omni is his nickname given by a raven guard on his team, the book he's in is "Deathwatch" by Steve Parker, there's also a scene where they're all training against robots that resemble Tyranids while the marines have no armor, and Maximillian walks up to one of the Watch Captains with a broken arm of the tyranid bot saying "I broke it sir", he's the only marine to ever do that, there's great comedy like that in other books

I love 40k. Absolutely enthralled in the lore but there’s something about a lot of 40k KZfaqrs that really rub me the wrong way. For example I really don’t like Major kill. He’s try hard cringe beyond belief but on the opposite side of things I can’t stand how low effort DK and Bricky are in their podcast.

Blades of Damocles - Ultramarines are fucking up the Tau and this sargeant runs into one of the water caste(?) tau women. The diplomatic ones who suck at fighting. Anyway she's talking to him like "I can tell you're a noble and honorable warrior you live by a code of honor. I'm not a threat to you." etc. and this dudes like pausing because his space fascist brain is trying to contemplate empathy and she goes "surely you wouldn't kill a defenseless woman?" and then The Cato Sicarius, ultramarines hero and paragon of what a space marine should be, barrels past him and goes "YEEESSSS" before *crushing her under his boot* like shes a cockaroach then he spits on her mangled corpse and keeps moving. The book is like a michael bay movie it rules.

So, something I found funny recently is when they announced the 'Von Ryan's Leaper'. The name is a reference to the film 'Von Ryan's Express' with it's promotional poster showing Frank Sinatra leaping at a train, with the model's pose reminiscent of the poster... and NO-ONE GOT IT. Even now, the memes are just one about the hooves and two about there being a guardsman named 'Von Ryan'. WAAAAAY too much of a deep cut reference on that one.

I got one Gilliman actually created the Eclesiarchy in its present form sparing the Anchorite the only remaining loyalist Word Bearer after the destruction of Monarchia. So when he laments that this age would be better lead by Lorgar and his zealots he is not wrong as it kinda is, and it is a fate that he actually created. It was the anchorite who spread the faith in the emporor acting as basically space pope from behind the scenes perhaps even unknown to Gilliman as it happened largely in his absence.

In Brutal kunnin - which has a lot of hilarious scenes, since its an ork book - the admech evacuate their base because of the orks and one techpriest who sorta went offline so he can work in peace and quiet is all like - 'Whats going on?' 'Well we are getting overrun by orks!' 'Oh really, well the best thing against orks would be a lascannon.' Later they go to their shuttles and the other one is like 'if you got any weapons, now would be a good time to get them' - and the first one pulls out sort of a build in mini lascannon from his shoulder. 'Didn't you say you didn't know about the orks?' 'Yes I did' 'And yet you got, what you yourself called the best weapon against orks with you?' 'Well yes, but to be fair, from my experience, there aren't a lot of things a lascannon isn't effective against.'

when i was first getting into the hobby a couple years back I order the painting starters kit that came with an assault intercessor, a necron, some paint and a couple hobby tools off of the GW Website. When it arived I got my Starter box and for some reason 6 bottles of Kislev Flesh and 6 bottle of Runelord Brass, idk how that mess up happens but the worst part is I paint Salamanders and Tyranids so i will never use either of those paints

1) Release Arthur! We know the narrator isn't Arthur and the real one is being kept in a small cage... 2) Girlyman being sad, makes me happy. Any and everytime a boy in blue gets murked or when big papasmurf gets the sadge it makes me rock solid and full of cancerous glee, much like the Thunder Warriors.

@Seth Feibel like, the central concept of the film is that the dumbest people, (who just HAPPEN to be lower class workers with limited access to food, education, housing, and other essential needs for life) are breeding out of control to the point that all their offspring, who inherit their dumb ass genes (which, wha??) outnumber all the "smart" people ( who just so happen to be upper class, trust fund looking ass white people). The entire reason for our main protagonist being identified as "smartest" is because his iq tests so high, which, sorry to tell ya, isn't a thing. Iq isn't real, the same person can test wildly different depending on test, environment, and even the person handing the test to a subject. Moat commonly, iq was just a pseudoscience used to justify horrible discrimination on minorities and other vulnerable groups LOOOONNNG before Mike Judge's unfunny ass came along, and still to this day in America, the country founded on white supremacy, eugenics and genocide.
