Fun fact: In the Night Circus, it is actually mentioned that people who regularly visit the Circus wear black, white and red and call themselves "reveurs" (dreamers)! So basically, you've already declared yourself a fan of the Night Circus:)

Jane Eyre is actually an easy read, took me only days to finish it and I'm a slow reader most of the time

I'm also a slow reader, but I had the same experience with Pride And Prejudice. Finished it in 3 days, couldn't put it down.

Honestly I loved this! Going outside the typical booktube models of tbrs, wrap ups, recommendations, and reading vlogs was fun and refreshing. I’m a mood reader too so I related to a lot of this. Editing was 👌👌👌 as well!

I just loveeee the editing of your videos, it's so funny and aesthetic at the same time Edit. Every single bookworm has a ton of bookmarks but instead of using them we use the grocery store list

I love Leonies editing, too. I think there are this one and other ones. I love bookmarks and have a lot nice ones and yes, I use them. I love using all my bookmarks and may I use a piece of paper I always change it out fast with one of my bookmarks :D

@@tine442 I end up adopting said receipt or piece of paper and put it into my bookmarks jar. 😅 at that point it’s gained a little something for me, being used, and I can’t bear to just throw it out! I hate that for me. 🤷‍♀️

Your editing is always on point, love it. I don't know if it's really the right time to read Jane Austen when in a slump. But Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books and I think it's really easy to read. Not something you have to push yourself through like with many other classics. It's such a comfort read for me.

I finished Jane Eyre for the first time recently and I thought it might take me a while and be a little slow going here and there but it turned out to be quite the page turner! I flew through it. So you never know, a classic might be just the thing.

There must be something about Solnit's writing style that just makes her books absolutely tedious because the same happened to me with "Men explain things to me". It's about as long as "A hope in the dark" but it took me 2 months to finish and I found myself unable to read more than like 20 pages at a time which is a problem I never have with her web articles for example😕 I guess some people should just stick to short forms. Being a mood reader sucks. It's so hard to identify what you're into atm sometimes. It's either "don't feel like reading anything I have" or "I want to read everything" lol. Night Circus is a very divisive book so I'm curious abt your opinion

I pulled 6 books off my shelf and then decided I needed to go to Waterstones to see if there was anything I wanted to read immediately.

It’s not pointless, it’s interesting to see how you pick the next one. Me for instance (seeing your stack of books) would also not pick the classics, but I would pick the library book because just in case that the library opens up again and I need to return it (you can always re-borrow but my mind doesn’t work like that). So not useless, I’d say a twisted get to know me vid

Fable does have a crew. It's not as centered around the crew as other stories but I feel like we might get more about them in the next book. I haven't picked up the second book yet

I read fable a couple of days ago and it was soo good I agree the beginning was meh and I was gonna quit from the first chapter but I'm so glad I didn't I ended up finishing it that same day it was really fun and fast paced imo

I was about to tell you to read Night Film because it’s also on my tbr and thrillers are usually quick to go through. Then you said you weren’t interested.. well crap haha The night circus is also on my tbr, idk if I would read it when in in a slump though, it seems slow paced.

I also was super interested in Night Film before I read it because of the multi-media aspects to it. But...then I read it and didn't love the POV character and got very confused by the plot. If you pick it up I hope you like it more than I did!

Pride and Prejudice is a very light read in my opinion. Especially if you read it in your native tounge

Hey, I just subscribed and I love this video idea! And your bedroom is very aesthetically pleasing. 😍 I find it interesting that library books are not really considered on your TBR. For me, it's the opposite: my never ending list means that I'd rather read a book before buying it, so... But I do have 20 fiction books I need to get to on my shelves... But as a mood reader, I'm very grateful for libraries. 😅 Especially since I've started my journey of reading adult Fantasy series, and that would be quite expensive (and risky without knowing my tastes well enough). And they actually recently reopened where I live (Québec, Canada), which is quite exciting for me! :) Weirdly enough, I'm more attracted to The Starless Sea than The Night Circus. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. ^^

I enjoyed the Night Circus! It's more atmospheric than romantic. The real love story is for the circus but the writing is beautiful. If you get around to reading Crime and Punishment again, I would love to buddy read/discuss. I'm halfway through The Brothers Kamarazov and plan to pick it up in a few weeks.
