Mikayla's dad ("Nate-daddy") wanted me to post this epic video of their wedding reception daddy daughter dance. To all you dads out there, he says, "NEVER PASS UP A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!" He also said that this dance was his chance to treat his daughter how she should be treated (as a princess). Sooo tender.
The dance started out so sweet and traditional and caught everyone by surprise. Haha! I loved filming Mikayla and her dad's epic and awesome choreographed daddy daughter wedding dance.

@@sammikhail3837 Sam my heart broke 💔 for you as I read your heartbreaking comment! I understand EXACTLY how you feel at the loss of fun and closeness you and your daughter once shared. I really don't have any pearls of wisdom to share with you as I am going through this pain with my son. I am not nor have I been a "meddling Mom" and do not use others to make my happiness for me. I am completely stumped over why this "drifting away" occurred after years of a close and humorous relationship! To put it bluntly, as I'm sure you will agree, IT HURTS. As I have other relationships (other children and grandchildren) that need nurturing I had to find a way to cope with this daily heartache. I pray. While praying, I turn the situation over to God and His all knowing Spirit to handle this problem as I try to live as joyously as possible with this daily heartache. Being human, I continually battle myself to not to "get in there and help Him"! I have to give it back over and over! This has given me a semblance of peace about the situation. Sam, I hope this has helped you in some small way. She may just be stuck in a situation of self discovery and trying to see where she fits in the grand scheme of things and she will come around as your same old little girl. I hope all good things for you Sam! I'll add you to my prayers as I pray for myself and my own "prodigal son". In the meantime, try to keep your hopes up as " God has got this"! 💛💛

I have a really strained relationship with my dad and I don’t think he will even be at my wedding, much less do a whole dance like this. I sobbed watching this and smiled through the whole thing, it was beautiful to see but also broke my heart. This is such a beautiful memory they’ll carry with each other forever. How special. ❤

Weddings are suppose to be all about the bride, unfortunately in our narcissists society that rule has been forgotten. It was obvious from this clip that daddy was out there dancing for attention (this was no last dance)! It is obvious in a crowd this daddy will always let you know he is there!

I'm 68. I remember the Daddy Daughter dances! My dad would let me stand on his feet...that's how I learned to dance. My father was awesome!

Hi @Linda Reiber, Due to the fact that you're 68 and that you spoke of your amazing father in past tense it says that dad's watching over you now. I'm 44 and just lost my right arm, my rock of Gibraltar, my best friend and Dad rolled up into one. When is this pain supposed to become bearable or at least subside so as to enable me to go on with him watching over me.

My dad taught me how to dance. Every party mom & dad had there was always a dance contest and dad & I always won. Mom & Dad were great jitter bug dancers. They were in the RCAF during WWII and dance contests were held at the bases and mom & dad always won them. Guess it's in the genes. I miss dancing with my daddy.

I've literally emceed over 500 Weddings in the past 15 years and THIS WAS EPIC. Much respect to the Dad and Daughter! More than this dance... you know there was a lifetime of love. I have a 5 year old daughter and I'm going to start practicing with her NOW!

@PK That is SO sweet. Time goes by so fast, just cherish this precious time now because before you know it, you will be on here dancing with your precious daughter and thinking back to when she was 5 years old. You have plenty of time to practice that special father and daughter dance. Your baby will only be 5 once and then 6, 7 etc... I know you must be an awesome father from what I've read. The reason I am saying this is because my son is turning 21 this month and sometimes I think, what I wouldn't give to have him that little again. I sure miss them times. Thank God he turned out to be a fine young man. I do understand when you said you have to start practicing now, seeing a father and daughter dance is exciting. Just for now, live in the moment.
