My God the 90s was such a good time for music. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, NWA, Tribe Called Quest, and you still had the big bands of the 80s around. Plus even pop was fun with Deee-Lite and others. I miss it.

WHAT IS HE MEANING OF LIFE? To have a relationship with God on earth so you can spend eternity together in Heaven. So, what pushes me away from God? Sin (lying, unforgiveness, sexual sins from lust, dishonouring parents, steeling, taking the Lord’s Name in vain etc) which leads to hell. But Jesus died on the Cross and rose from the dead to give you the ability to repent and Believe in Him as your Lord and Saviour. Best Decade for Alternative Rock. 1990's Wish they still made music like this
@nu-metalfan26542 жыл бұрын
@Robert Nodler. But is this even Alternative Rock?, I mean no wonder the media get confused today of what Alternative Rock is and calling bands like Tame Impala, Coldplay, and Imagine Dragons as Alternative Rock. When I think of Alternative Rock I think of stuff like Nine Inch Nails, Creed and Incubus.
@jack-op24602 жыл бұрын
@@nu-metalfan2654 I think most are indeed Alternative Rock as a genre. But within that genre, you have different styles or sub-genres: Grunge, Indie Rock, Brit Pop, Funk Metal, Nu-Metal, Rap Metal, (Some) Blues Rock,... The way I see it, all styles within the Alternative Rock genre.
@nu-metalfan26542 жыл бұрын
@@jack-op2460 I disagree, in order to be a genre you need bands that sound similar within that genre. But Alternative used to mean not in the mainstream, and Indie and BritPoP are very mainstream. Imo Alternative isn’t a good term. And we shouldn’t be lumping in subgenres in together as one thing, Nu-Metal, BritPoP and Blues Rock are all worlds apart from each other. But if we was to put together an umbrella term called Alternative, then the subgenres within that should be Nu-Metal/Rap Metal Grunge/Post Grunge Funk Metal/Rock Industrial Groove Metal Sludge Metal and some Stoner bands like QOTSA and Monster Magnet. Now those subegenres being together make sense.
@jack-op24602 жыл бұрын
@@nu-metalfan2654 Yes, you're right: Alternative should mean "not mainstream" but those days are long gone. There were/are Nu-Metal-, Grunge-, Funk Metal-, ...bands that are now actually (almost) mainstream, but once started off as "unconventional". In my younger days we used that word a lot: "Mainstream" or "Commercial" as opposed to "Alternative" and "Underground" because we had to feel alternative to be cool. But every genre travels so fast nowadays that those terms mean almost nothing anymore. But I understand what you mean, and I agree: We should not call Coldplay "Alternative" but what is Coldplay then? Post-Brit Pop? Or simply Indie Pop probably? Hehe. Anyway, this song "Cannonball" was a big hit in the bars that played Alternative Rock music where I lived. And it is categorized as Alternative Rock in my pc as well. How would you call it?
@TonyMontanaDS2 жыл бұрын
@@nu-metalfan2654 At the time this was considered Alternative Rock. Heck, even Green Day was called alternative when they came out and so was K.D. Lang. Anything that didn't fit the standard definition of Rock was Alternative because no one at the time knew what to call it.

@@BroForce426 How is God good? Good is defined as moral perfection so only God qualifies to be good. However, Some people think they are good. Have you lied (even once in your entire life), looked with lust at the opposite sex, dishonoured parents, stolen anything, had hatred towards someone, Taken the Lords name in vain, had premarital sex, adultery etc If you answered yes to any one of the above then you are a sinner like the rest of us. Since all humans have broken the law, all humans will be punished in Hell for breaking the law. But God doesn’t want humans to perish so He sent Jesus to take the punishment that you deserve. So, either receive the mercy & love of God by repenting of sin (forsake sinful ways) & Believe in Jesus as God or pay for your own sins in Hell.

People often say, “I’m not hurting anyone so it’s ok to sin (lying, stealing, sexual sins, disrespecting parents etc)” The same God who said to love your neighbour first said to love Him to the best of your ability. If you carry on sinning, then you do not love God but are selfish like the devil so you will be joined to your father in hell or repent of your sins and believe in Jesus as God so Jesus adopts you as His child and you will join Him in Heaven forever.
