This has been my favorite episode of the series! I am LOVING these longer episodes! Sundays are for relaxing and The Budgeteers! Kudos to you two for being able to pick out the most important things to see in each destination and then move on. When I travel, I tend to overdo it trying to see everything. The FOMO is real! Another great episode guys! I think the thing that makes your channel unique is the travelling on a budget part. There's something off-putting watching other KZfaq travellers who just stay in fancy hotels and do all the things. I feel like you show the realities of travelling when you don't have much. When I was in Rome I couldn't justify the price to get into the Colosseum, but I like how you showed it and explained it. Also it's hard to avoid drinking beers whilst travelling on a budget, because it gives you somewhere to rest and use their toilet etc, plus it's just refreshing. Can't wait for the next episode!

Ow yes Siena, lobe the chilled vibe of walking arround in the streets eating in the local small shops, not on the square though, best for the budget 😉 Rome is still on the bucketlist, we did only tuscany which is so beautifull. And 16 euro for those hostels seems to be the price in Italy. Genuine question, did you guys feel like the tiredness from the bike riding took away from your enjoyment of the stops? I commend you both for tackling it! I imagine there were lots of hills!

for me, maybe the stops on the road on the way to the next destination yes but not while being in a city for a few days exploring. it was definitely a bigger challenge than i thought it was going to be!

Roma non basta una vita. A lifetime is not enough to visit all that there is in Rome. Believe me, I know. I lived there for a year as a very young man, and now, at 80, I still go back. But get at least some Italian phrases under your belt to get the best value from your trip.

Thats a good phrase. Indeed Rome is just too huge to see in 2days, it might indeed take more than a lifetime 😄 Yeah you're right David. We wouldve liked to learn some italian but we were too busy/hectic on our preparation. Love the language though, so beautiful!

Love these episodes you guys! Great seeing the bike adventures and I totally empathise on how exhausting it can be, esp the hills and with side bags! You both did amazing! Also thanks for the tip re the coliseum and booking online... I forget the modern world we live in and used to just show up but I booked online just now for next month when I'm there... It had almost sold out already so thanks for the timely reminder! Also the longer format is beautiful! Much more immersive! Love yas! X

Impressed that you still stay in dorms😅 I can still deal with shared bathroom and the hostel life in general but dorms🙈once I turned 30 I felt like I can't handle this anymore 😅 Uuh Thijs feeling nausea and still goes for beer- true belgian indeed😅

Hahaha yeah Ehm, dorms are a tricky one indeed. We wouldnt do party hostels anymore though, we're getting too old to lose that much sleep 🤣. But these hostels were quite relaxed. Yeah, a italian beer is alright anytime 😜😅

Yeah right! I assumed because its such a tourist hotspot the prices would even crazier. But the city is enormous so that might lower the prices of accomodation and stuff. Nice surprise anyway 😄

Aha so you also had mishaps with the colosseum! We too, seriously we missed it twice. It was only on our last morning we got to visit it. That place is tough to get into. Sometimes its just completely sold out.

How did you guys book the ferry tickets for Naples - Palermo? And how could you get it so cheap? I can only find tickets 126 euro for 2 person

We booked it very last minute... but yeah 45euro was cheap. 63euro pp is quite alright too. It was 2021 so maybe due to lower travel numbers the prices were cheaper. I dunno but I think it really depends on the other tourists. These ships fill up fast in high season.

€1000 euros. You clearly have no understanding of the term BUDGET. Try it on €100 euros and you might be closer to the real world.

Not at all mate. First watch our videos before you jump to conclusions. You clearly haven't seen our first series where we travel 7-9weeks on this budget😄 We're on more than half the budget of other travellers in Italy. *Note : European/western travellers. Although I understand. €1000 might be a fortune in some other countries, outside of europe. But you be able to travel and do much with €100 here.
