Welcome back to another episode all.. In this episode we take you back to when we spent around 6 or so weeks camped up along the banks of the Hand River in the Cape.. Its a spot you wouldn't think to pull up at and camp, but believe me this place is more than just a roadhouse.. I explored this place on both foot and quad and loved every bit of it, catching Barra and cherabin, we was eating like kings in the middle of nowhere, .. They have opened up camping all along both sides of the river for camping and its is well worth stoping in if you're heading to or from Cape York. So grab a cold one sit back and enjoy..

Great job again . Can i let everyone know that the Barkley Homestead has had a Fire and NO Fuel or camping for a while. Take a Lot more fuel for your trip.

The people that run The Hann River Roadhouse are fantastic We rolled in really late one night (spent 4-5 hrs stuck in the Stewart River crossing) and they were awesome Friendly animals everywhere and great showers👍 Another fantastic episode mate👍👍

Mate another great camping trip keep them coming only been watching you for a couple of months and have to say one of the best fishing and camping channels on KZfaq in Australia will have to sit back and watch from the start 👍

Best area I fished on Hann was on the Lakefield road at Hann crossing,that was back in late either,then working on cape explored many areas,best Barra caught on Kennedy bend, only people came across back then was rangers from Lakefield, plus pigs hundred of them.

Brother, thanks for the nice comment mate. Comments and good feedback like this is what makes me wanna wonder more and keep making videos.. Good to see I have a few of our people from across the sea on here watching me. :) I come from a little town on the NQ East coast, and growing up I spent a lot of time hanging with TI mob, the older I got the more intreated I was to learn their ways in life. What a cracking spot that one, true Aussie bush. Had a laugh with your little tumble and bleeping out 😅 that lure you were trying to think of is the curlytail, I use them all the time. So good fishing in that tiny creek, you could live of fish for ages. You must have been devastated when you lost your phone with all that footage, never trust your top pocket. Look forward to your next spot.

haha, yes I had a chuckle to me self after it happened too.. I just knew what was in them waters lol Yes, they are the ones. Iv had great luck with the curly tails in the pass. Man, I never leave my phone in my pockets for that same reason, but it was just all happening that day. I was devo when it happen. But not to worry, I'm a bit more tech savvy now and don't store it all on me phone no more.

Cheers Adrian, green for Barra is always my go to colour to start with. The freeze dry food is from Back Country Cuisine, I usually just shop around when getting them. Most camping stores sell them. I find Snowys camping store is usually the cheapest. I put a link below for you. But do shop around. Na, you just see the guys at the HR Roadhouse for camping along the river. Couldn't tell you what it's worth, the year I was there they, was just starting it up. Well worth a look tho.
