Rod is a lovely guy, met him years ago when I bought a kayak from him. Wears his heart on his sleeve as you'd expect. Great Ep Captain! 👍 ✌️🎣

Rod's definitely an exceptional person and fisherman! I cut my teeth fishing open party boats since age 11 with lots of river, streams, and lake fishin in between. Not quite the same as what Rod has accomplished with his own equipment. Loved his comment on being so small in a huge pond. Kinda how I feel about Earth as a whole. Thanks for sharing. 👍🐟

I think Im one of the few people who have been around on Rods channel since his early kayak fishing days. I still remember clearly when "that video" came out, the first island one in covid times and suddenly the channel took off.

Who would of thought a guy named Rod would be one of the most successful fishers on KZfaq. It's like it was destined.

He's one of my first KZfaq subscriptions from 4 or5 years ago! Being a fisherman in the Pacific Northwest US, I love the fish and cook aspects along the adventure and excitement of Australia and the ocean there! So exotic for an American I feel! I always feel like I am right along with Rocket Rod and always looking for the next episode! Keep up the great work!!!

Being personable is a key ingredient to success on KZfaq and Rod definitely has it. Other KZfaqrs don't seem to realise that being a good guy goes a long way, even more so than great footage and big fish.

Watched Rod along time when I ran across one of his vids calling this HUGE mackerel a “spanish” - guys at the fire station got a kick out of that! Cause what we call a “spanish” a big one is 50cm? He’s spot on about the ocean, couldnt imagine not being near big water? Glad to grow up on a coast line. CHeers man
