I personally don’t believe in the Protestants view or their interpretation of the Bible, specially the book of Revelation. Their interpretation of the rapture and Christ’s one thousand year reign. I have always felt that way based on the teachings of the Catholic and the Orthodox churches, but specially after reading the messages of True Life in God that Jesus has been giving to an Orthodox lady called Vassula Ryden since 1985 to this day. The messages are mainly about the unity of the churches. It’s the most beautiful and profound book I’ve ever read in my entire life, listening to Jesus talking to us first hand. The Vatican examined her writings. First she was given a notification bc there were certain theological matters that needed to be clarified. Then the notification was removed. For example regarding the rapture Jesus tells us in those messages that the rapture is meant in a spiritual sense, it is a rapture of the Holy Spirit that Cardinal Radzinger (when he was the prefect for the congregation of the faith) has talked about: the second Pentecost. One will be taken (raptured) by the Holy Spirit and the other will not. Vassula has many videos on KZfaq on different topics from the messages that she receives. John 6:66 is the only 666 scripture in the New Testament. There are 666 scriptures in the Old Testament but they have to be combined with the scripture before it or below it to make sense. As for the robes of violet, scarlet and gold, it is describing the robes of the Jewish priests as mentioned in Exodus chapter 28. Black and white are. Consider the average priest’s “clericals” (black suit with white Roman collar); priests’ clerical garb is never purple or red, and for only a short time during the liturgical year do they wear chasubles with purple or red. But every priest wears a white alb at Mass. Even bishops and cardinals usually wear black. And the pope, of course, always wears white. The purple and scarlet of the whore are contrasts to the white worn by the New Jerusalem, the Bride of Christ (Rev. 19:8). Many scholars either refused or denied the existence of the caliphates that existed; the last being the Ottoman Empire which received its “deadly wound” in 1923 when it was defeated. St Hippolytus of Rome started teaching about how to interpret it during his time though he never finished it because he was martyred.
