The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique (or traditional cazaq singing, called Joqtaw), is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist: Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Dimash does not use styles of music. He makes the arrangement he thinks he needs. The next generations of singers will learn from his songs.

I think your insight about his not singing in styles is accurate and thank you for mentioning it. I am not a singer but it seems to me that any mention of a "style" that someone tries to use to define him is merely always going to fall well short of the full measure of what he is doing. Rather than the word style I think perhaps the word different techniques might be less constrictive. Obviously, he had been trained in opera techniques, pop techniques et cetera but he has so much unbelievable control, range, versatility and intelligence he can in an instant combine them in ways likely only someone as exceptional as he can and in doing so creates a brand new "style".

What drives my obsession with this channel is the attention you give to some of these artists' character. The way you analyze his eye contact and posture at the end of the performance and relate it to his courtesy toward the band... As much as I would give anything to get your insight into music, I would give even more listen to you talk empathy and philosophy. You seem to just immediately assume the best in everyone in a world where so many people want to imagine the worst. We need more of this!

What a fabulous review. There aren't many KZfaq reviewers that know what to look for and explain to us the listeners what kind of technic the singer has to make with his vocal cords, lungs, diaphragm, etc. But you do. It is not easy to deliver these tones as good as he does. I often think about how easy it seems for him to perform these songs, but I know you know better, that this is a difficult task, and it's better to be in a good physical state. Thank you.

I have literally watched maybe hundreds of reactions to Dimash. I like watching the facial expressions of the reactors. However, this is the first time anyone has appreciated what he did at the end of the song. I personally want to thank you for bringing that up, I had not thought about the reason why he did that. 🥰

Thank you for your knowledgeable and delightful review of Dimash. And thank you for explaining what happened at the end. I always wondered if he had intended to continue singing, but didn't when the Dears began laying flowers on the stage. But I knew that Dimash is used to people thinking he has stopped and he had never stopped him from finishing. So now, I finally know. Also, when I watch this, I always notice how Igor glances around at the people next to him as if he's thinking, "Why aren't you on your feet?"

I just spent 5 hours listening to him. First time ever. Just 2 or 3 songs. I listen to them all over again another day. Thanks for your comments. В казахских песнях есть такие как вы говорите этнические вставочки. Когда я слышу такие пробеги от Димаша, я вспоминаю свое беззаботное детство, как скачу на лошади по степи, или просто закрываю глаза и прогоняю свою жизнь. Великолепное ощущение... Baigali Serkebayev- leader of the A-Studio group, producer, orangeman, pianist, composer, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan. Soviet-Kazakh - Russian pop pop group A studio. In 2018, Dimash Kudaibergen took part in the A'STUDIO concert with the song "Sinful Passion", which was once performed by Batyrkhan Shukenov. The music of "Sinful Passion" was written by Baigali Serkebayev, the words by Ilya Reznik.

The performance of this song from the concert in Ekaterinburg earlier this year is simply astounding (better than earlier performances from his concerts in China, he changed the arrangement). The cries. The little cries always gets me. I love it the cry. Here, and in Love Is Like A Dream. It feels so..fragile, soft, emotional... I always focus 100% especially when it comes to these parts

Кто и когда сможет перекрыть то, что демонстрирует на сцене Димаш? Многие многоопытные вокальные коучи пытались найти хоть малейшие ошибки в его исполнении, хоть что-нибудь хотя бы в артистизме, сосредоточенности на песне, манере держать микрофон, стоять на сцене, дышать, напрягать шею и плечи, наконец, в одежде. Ничего! Не за что зацепиться. А его диапазон в шесть (!) октав плюс два тона, которых даже нет на клавиатуре фортепиано (!) ?! Известный итальянский импресарио, который делает саундтреки для голливудских фильмов и может сказать кто в оркестре из 300 музыкантов когда и на какой ноте сфальшивил признал Димаша лучшим в мире певцом с лучшим в мире голосом - а это уже признание на самом высшем уровне!

Если внимательно понаблюдать за поведением Димаша, то можно заметить, что он абсолютно далёк от мыслей, как бы его кто-то не превзошёл. Думаю, первым делом, если бы кто-то вышел не его уровень, он бы сразу предложил дружбу и сотрудничество. А фанаты готовы за него пасть порвать... А ЕМУ это нужно?

Итальянский импресарио говорил о конкретном фильме и исполнителе для него на данный момент ! Не надо перевирать его слова и преувеличивать !))) В мире много прекрасных певцов, уверяю вас !))) Но Димаш ,конечно же особенный , никто и не спорит с этим !)))

i can't be alone here right? her reaction and demeanor, they way she smile and move her eyebrow looks alot like emilia clarke. apart from that i always enjoy how everyone is amazed at his vocal ability at sinful passion especially at the end part, amazing!! also it cracks me up every time i see the guitar player with a confused face.

Замечательная реакция умного жизнерадостного человека. Я попала под обаяние этой женщины. Было очень интересно смотреть и слушать хорошие точные замечания. Считаю, что реакция Элизабет достойна квалифицированного перевода. Может, наши специалисты по английскому языку отзовутся и сделают перевод по горячим следам, а не когда-нибудь, потом? //////////////////// Почитала комментарии англоязычных зрителей и удивилась. Я сама из Казахстана. Димаш - наша гордость, Димаш - наше национальное достояние! Все его поклонники-земляки знают о нем, наверное, всё, каждый его шаг и вздох. Да, это дело нашей чести знать все о своем выдающемся соотечественнике. Русскоязычные болельщики из стран СНГ тоже знают достаточно. Но, оказывается, что англоязычные ДЕАРСЫ ни в чем нам не уступают, т.е. весь заинтересованный мир пристально следит за творчеством Димаша, за ним самим, восхищается, анализирует, разбирая на детали любое произведение Димаша, пропагандирует и распространяет его творчество... Меня конечно впечатлил уровень знаний о Димаше и его карьере и объем информации, которым владеют люди по всему миру.

I eagerly await Mondays! (Fridays are good to) but being a Dear for the past 3 years, i have eagerly awaited each new song and listened to them over and over. So since I know this song I eagerly anticipate your awe and joy when you discover each new part. So Fun!!!
