The entire TV show will be about the life of Christ through the eyes of those who encountered him called The Chosen. And when I say "we," I mean we literally, because you can be a part of this unprecedented project.
WHY A TV SERIES ABOUT JESUS?
We've been making movies for some of the biggest studios in Hollywood for 20 years. But something like you just saw shouldn't be entrusted to Hollywood. It needs to be made by us.
So, with the amazing team at VidAngel, we're going to do something that's never been done before. Believe it or not, there's never been a TV show, complete with multiple episodes and seasons about the life of Jesus.
The most important message in the world deserves the most influential medium in the world, so we're going to tell the greatest story ever told in The Chosen.

I was moved by the Holy Spirit after watching this episode. I was battling with bone tuberculosis, which was getting stronger every time it came back. I lost all hope of getting better and have a normal life again. I always dream of getting married and have children but that too I was afraid to even think about it. I'm 34 and I see no hope. This passed Sunday, I watched this film and I was reminded in my heart, oh so clearly that Jesus came for me, to take away all my sorrows and illness and pain. My heart filled with gladness and I cried and cried. I was made whole again all my pain and illness are gone, just like that. I cannot explain in words how happy I feel then and now. I will always be a witness and will give my whole life to Jesus and His kingdom. Everyone reading this, may God bless you and renew your hearts in Jesus Christ. Amen!

I'd never cried at the Christmas story, but this depiction just moved me. Truly our Messiah stepped into a world of need. Amazing concept and production. May God bless this to be a blessing to all peoples across the earth.

...Because he does nothing without the power of the Holy Ghost, when we are receptive to that, we feel it beyond words. He also does nothing without his servants, the prophets. Isaiah and Ezekiel prophesied that a Latterday prophet would God raise up before his second coming, to restore his saving Gospel truths of “plain and precious things” that wicked men had lost and hidden. May we seek this restoration and prophet that we may be prepared for his coming.

I loved it !!! Thank you. I was sad to find not one biblical movie on TV on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day here in Perth Western Australia until I saw this on KZfaq. It is exactly what we need. We are the light of the word. Don't let the world turn to complete darkness. At least not while we are here housing the Holy Spirit in our temple (body). The Chosen has refulled the lamp in my heart, and brought peace and joy.

@@whatabouttheearth His birth didn't have jack to do with the equinox, summer or fall. The Roman records tell us when the census took place. His birthday is celebrated in December because Constantine and his mama wanted to make Christianity palatable to the pagan masses, so they replaced pagan holidays like the solstices, with Christian events. Easter is another one, where do you think the bunnies in Easter come from? Ishtar, the goddess of fertility. That's also why you still find idols in some churches.

After watching all the live streams this week, then getting the app and binge watching all 8 episodes, then paying it forward, I am now watching this very first pilot episode yet again! I've been a Christian all my life. But until about a week ago, I didn't understand the love of God. It brings me to tears. I only just now understand. I'm in an outlaw motorcycle club, about to be 33 years old, and I fear my time is nearing an end. That I'm supposed to do something for the Lord and if I choose that path, it will lead to being a target for the enemy to take me out.

Wow, I've seen all the episodes produced so far, up to season 2 episode 5, and only just stumbled across this gem. This 20 minutes segment is unbelievably great. Such a wonderful preview of the episodes to come. Thank you with all my heart. Btw I hope we get to see more of the actor who plays Simon the shepherd, I love him.

Same here .. I am up to date through S2 E7 (just last night) .. But had not witnessed the pilot until just minutes ago .. The tears from my eyes have yet to stop .. In some ways, I have felt like the lame shepherd for at least the last 20 years ..

2/17/2024🙏🏾✝️😇 I'm 54. I remember my church having movie night. We watched the left behind series, omega code, megiddo, etc. I was so on fire for God... And then life got in the way. Thankfully, we have The Chosen series for this generation and many generations to come. Whether you're devout christian, a backslidden christian or a non christian, it is of no consequence. I love the expression of The shepherd when he heard the prophecies read by the scribe. But what really brought tears for me is the last scene when the priest asked the shepherd on the unblemished sacrifice. -> he showed expression that he has found the sacrifice, JESUS... Happy Pesakh, everybody...

I think it would take a huge budget to show angels in their supernatural form and do them justice, it was wise to have them off screen for sure. Also better to not take away attention from the core of the story, aka Jesus ;)

Amazing film. You feel like you are there with the shepherds. The cliff hanger question at the end is perfect. It reminds me of the words of Christ: Seek and you shall find; knock and the door shall be opened to you. This is obviously a God inspired film. What a blessing for all who watch this. I hope this film comes to television during Advent or Christmas Day. Thunderous Applause. A job well done. Bravo.

Mennx De Gabrenam people think it may have actually been close to Passover as sheep have their lambs around April . And that would be the only reason the Shepard’s would be out at night for lambing. I could be wrong. Ut it makes sense

I believe that the Holy Spirit is moving on him so please pray for his soul that he will receive the saving blood of Jesus Christ. A Brother in Italy is asking for prayers. He and his family are under persecution there due to their faith in the Messiah. I told him I would ask as many as would pray. Another has lost his daughter due to a drug overdose. He and his family are in mourning. He doesn't know what her soul condition was at her passing, but he is continuing in the faith. This is just a few of many. I could never really put myself into a movie about the birth of Jesus. This simple beautiful it was just the way I would picture it would actually be without all that Hollywood stuff. It was True to what I would think actually happens without the glitz just to show what happened in the most simplest form as it should be.

I pray this t.v show will come. We need it more than ever today. If people don't believe, that is their decision. We just dust off our feet and move to the next town as it reads in the Bible. It needs to be told and the film made with as much enthusiasm and excitement as when the Lord's angels came to the shephards to tell them of the good news. The spotless lamb that was sacrificed. I have watched all the first season one through eight and this will be my fourth time. The depth of all the characters brought to life is nothing less than astounding. I have studied the Bible since I was a small boy with many periods of going where Angels would not go but still, like a dog, I come crawling back. Never has the Gospel come to life like this, in the history of film and books save the One. May God bless all of you involved in this treasure and keep you all safe.

So, at 11:59 at the scene with the angels, you can hear that “otherworldly whispering”. It’s a beautiful effect that fits. Now, when I first heard this, it just sounded like random whispering. But if you listen REALLY closely, I think this effect was made by people whispering “JESUS” over and over again! It brought so much joy to my heart when I realized this, because when this happened, it really was the angels telling the shepherds about the coming Messiah, who’s name is Jesus!

I can't watch this enough, and every time tears. When he offers Mary water to quench her thirst, was it that simple act of kindness that aided his handicap to be healed as he ran to the first sight of Christ? I love this..
