Just a vid to say hello to the new hornet 750 I have for a few weeks to test and enjoy ...more vids to come ... I'm talking about an average speed camera zone of 40 mph when talking about the roundabouts but forgot to put the caption up ...oh well I will just sound mad lol

Nice review Mr Fish. Great bike, it’s fun, it’s nimble, it sounds good, great with a full system and it’s FUN. a great commuter, docile when wanted but has a definite naughty attitude 👍

Nice review, and I always enjoy your videos. The Hornet sounds like a great performing bike. I can't get past the looks though. They should have called it the CB750F. This would have been stunning in retro trim.

Nice little video Mr Fish. Lovely bike and does pretty much everything you need apart from off roading. Is that a django gripper mount on your helmet?

Pity you put the camera mount over the TFT as its nice to see the speed and how quick the acceleration is.

Awesome vid, love it sir! Only a month or so to wait for mine now, excited! Apparently the Hornets are coming on different tyres, luck of the draw what you mah get. Not sure if theres any difference between the two possibilities?

"Scrubbing in" tyres is mostly just getting a few heat cycles in. Best way to do that is hard acceleration and hard braking in a straight line. If the front still feels wobbly, get in a couple good stops. You want to see the forks compress a good bit.
@Mrfish2015
@Mrfish2015 Жыл бұрын
That’s heating tyres .. scrubbing is getting the shiny stuff from the tyre mould off ..
@233kosta
@233kosta Жыл бұрын
@@Mrfish2015 It's to do with finishing the curing process of the tyre compound. The "shiny stuff" is gone before you reach the back roads, but the rubber itself remains in a somewhat un-cured (and therefore less grippy) state until you get said heat cycles in. And it *has* to be a full cycle - hot then cold. Just hot won't do it. That's why the rear wheel was gripping better during filming - you'd been harder on the throttle (not difficult on these twins :P) than on the brakes.

Ok, what's your opinion on the quick shifter to manually shifting the DCT? Are they pretty close, or can you feel a difference, and which do you like better? 😎
@233kosta
@233kosta Жыл бұрын
I have previously seen the DCT described as the "quickest, slickest and smoothest" of quickshifters. Knowing about its inner workings, that makes sense. Though I've also seen on more than one occasion people complaining about how clunky amd nasty feeling a DCT is. For whatever reason, those particular DCTs were out of calibration. Easy problem to remedy, but when it's a person's first time with one and it's misbehaving, that does not a good impression make.

I prefer a quickshifter on this type of bike .. but I love my dct for the twin the beauty of the dct is you can full on lazy .. but a foot shit is more fun for some reason 😂
