In this video we meet up with our friend Dick Shepherd at the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience Centre, Hinckley, Leicestershire, England, UK and he shows us his latest duplex framed collection of Triumphs. Dick has personally restored each and every one of these bikes from the ground up himself and they are all immaculately presented.

fantastic knowledge of the history of Triumph, i was only aware of a fraction. my first motorcycle was a Tiger Cub, bought in boxes, but the colour was Olymipic Flame and in the UK. It wasn't road reg'd so no idea of the history. fascinating, thank you.

Well done, seriously well done. Gorgeous bikes, well displayed and the few you took out and fired up, a treat. Thank you to you and Mr. Shepard.

Lovely bikes! My 73 Triumph Hurricane reminds me of what things could have been like with a more enlightened management team ( even if it is actually the last BSA).

Can't recommend the Triumph Factory Visitor Experience highly enough. A great day out, try and go on a week day when the factory is working and book a tour in advance.

Absolutely Brilliant! I still think the last of the pre unit Triumphs were the best-looking bikes. I had a few and rebuilt plus customized a number. Having said that, I also bought one of the 2008, modern Bonneville's and rode it through parts of Canada and the USA. Beautifull motorcycle, ultra reliable and never leaked a drop of oil or missed a beat on my travels. I would certainly buy another one without hesitation.😀😀😀😀.

I will have to visit Hinkley if I get back to the UK. I was a Triumph mechanic in Calgary Canada for 10 yrs at Blackfoot motosports. Have owned a 67 T 100 R. 98 tbird sports . 98 t595. 2001 speed triple 2001 trophy 900. I flatracked a 68 T 100 R. The 67 was the most problematic of any bike owned

Wow, just amazing bikes! I wish I could be there! I wish even more I could toodle a couple of them about in the lot, just to keep the oil flowing, you know. With that kind of history and bona-fide museum showcase in Hinckley of Triumphs, it puzzles me even more why post-1991 Triumph is so confused with their naming conventions of new models?? The 2001 T100 should've been the 2001 T120. The 2020 T120 should be the 2020 T140. And how did the Thunderbird model name ever wind up on a 3-cylider motorcycle?? The 2006 Scrambler 900 s model should've been called the 2006 TR9 Trophy. And don't get me started with what they've put the "Tiger" name on. LOL !! The Tigers were "street rod" standards in 2 sizes of twin. Not 3 cylinder adventure bikes! The new Triumphs confuse me with how they name them. The Thunderbird and Speed Twin were always 2 sizes of mildly tuned touring twins. The Bonneville and Daytona were 2 sizes of the most "hot rod" twins. And the Trophies were the scrambler models.

Nice collection but I like stock bikes that ordinary customers could buy, the real history of Triumph. Shame they didn't show the bikes until the end of production in 1983, they still had a duplex frame. I bought a new Bonneville in 1978 and again in 1982. Lovely bikes and I preferred the looks of the US spec.

The very last Triumphs built at Meriden were in March 1982. The frame and engine numbers begin with the letters CEA. I own a Bonny built in February 82 , the numbers begin with BEA. The factory struggled on flogging off a few spare parts and whatever else until they finally gave up in June 1983.

I bought my US spec black and red T140E Bonneville new in March 1982. My friend bought his T140E new in 1983, different paint colours to the models available in 82, his being a lovely blue and silver US spec. Les Harris Bonnevilles, made in Devon under licence from John Bloor, were available from 1984.

My god ! You guys have changed-History by proving that Triumph cracked Time-Travel . They went forward In-Time , copied a 2000 Kawasaki W650 and changed-it just-slightly...so that no-one would know . Brilliance ! Dave nz

Ironically , when i was a boy I met Tim Gibbes on a few occasions with my Brother-in-Law Ian , whose brother Glen (Wroblenski/Robins) worked for Tim as a British-bike Mechanic and Motocross (Scrambles ) rider . Glen held the 500cc-Title for a year or two before Morley-Shirrifs took it .Dave nz

Nonsense, the Kawasaki 650 was originally a BSA A7 designed engine made under license from BSA, but with some of Modera improvements.
